Do you test 340 million?

IDK if it's possible but in my fairly ignorant opinion that is what I would hope we could do. I mean outside of the people that have already tested positive of course.

As far as what you said about the recession, I think we're pretty much hitting it now rather than being on the edge of it. I think it's a certainty unfortunately and IDK if there is any going back.

Here is a copy I pulled up of the house covid19 $2 trillion stimulus bill.

@BamaBoyJosh, You were right about the page numbers you listed as wrong on the post by @TerryP, The person who compiled that list was off by 1 page on each item you had looked up. The cleaning supplies item was not on page 136 as stated, but rather it is listed on page 137. Also the item
listed as Migrant and Refugee Assistance as being on page 147 is also wrong, it is listed on page 148. Perhaps the compiler of that list had had a few too many Coronas.

I really don't understand how a couple of thousand dollars is supposed to help anyone.

These policitians heads are so far up their asses.

It's more like a "here's some money please dont be mad at us and vote for us in November" than anything else. The real point seems to be trying to prop up the bigger corporations and companies that are feeling this (though many are a lot more equipped to handle it than those of us living paycheck to paycheck but they donate millions to politicians and we do not).

So much nonsense in that bill @footballer, makes me disgusted.

Term limits, no pension, no fancy healthcare, etc, etc is how they should be rewarded.

What are term limits going to do? Politicians are all crooked, and newcomers get into politics to be crooked as well. You think term limits in the presidency have kept the office less crooked? They would stagger and be collecting money after they left to simply hold policy. I don't know what the answer is, but more government and term limits won't change shit

We may already be in a recession by definition, but think we can turn it quickly depending on how we respond.

Businesses live paycheck to paycheck too for the most part. Even many of the big ones dont have that long of a run rate. Taxes, Obamacare, and government spending are burdens on us all.

Corporations make jobs. I'm not a fan of the stimulus or gifting any of these assholes money.

Small business might be the machine, but many of them rely on the big corporations.

Per Dr Deborah Burke, in 8 days the US has tested more than South Korea did in 8 weeks. We're over 300k tests thus far. NYC is the epicenter at this point in the US.

That's what was said during the town hall today.

There’s tested, and there’s results. Locals are being told it will be up to five days before getting results.

If my company does not do well it costs people jobs. Like or not that is how it is in my world. To me that is why helping companies helps people.

I've read the numbers....just found them compiled together. The comments aren't mine. Pelosi's bill includes

$100,000,000 to Nasa, because, who knows why.
$20,000,000,000 to the USPS, because why the hell not
$300,000,000 to the Endowment for the Arts / because fuck it
$300,000,000 for the Endowment for the Humanities/ because no one even knew that was a thing
$15,000,000 for Veterans Employment Training / for when the GI Bill isn't enough
$435,000,000 for mental health support / thats a lot of fucking suicide hotlines
$30,000,000,000 for the Department of Education stabilization fund/ because that will keep people employed
$200,000,000 to Safe Schools Emergency Response to Violence Program
$300,000,000 to Public Broadcasting / NPR has to be bought by the dems
$500,000,000 to Museums and Libraries / Who the hell knows how we are going to use it
$720,000,000 to Social Security Admin / but get this only 200,000,000 is to help people. The rest is for admin costs
$25,000,000 for Cleaning supplies for the Capitol Building / I shit you not it's on page 136

Still reading through this crap
$7,500,000 to the Smithsonian for additional salaries

$315,000,000 for State Department Diplomatic Programs
$95,000,000 for the Agency of International Development
$300,000,000 for International Disaster Assistance

9,000,000 Misc Senate Expenses pg 134

So is this really accurate?
