| FTBL Complimentary article on the Mountain West....

Honestly, I can't think of a situation where Olin Buchanan has written something that was just "off the wall ludicrous."

But, this has to be one statement that qualifies for the "most stupid remark of the season."

Offensive coordinator of the year:
Utah's Andy Ludwig.

Most offensive coordinators strive for balance, and Ludwig found it. The Utes ranked 41st in the nation in rushing (168.4 yards), 41st in passing (236.8) and 31st overall (405.2 ypg). Overall, Utah ranked third in the MWC in total offense and first in scoring offense, averaging 37.4 points.

Balance is defined by where your team ranks nationally?!?!

This Utah team isn't one dimensional, don't get me wrong with what I'm saying here.

But good lord...that has to be one of the most screwed up statistics pulled to define balance I've ever seen.

Just as a FWIW...

2800+ passing
2000+ rushing.

Utah runs the ball right around 55% of the time. That's how balance is defined!
