One more think if you need or want to know about cast iron/skittle he the one you need to talk to. He did had a FB page on them.
WOW! Forgot about that! I met a guy at the fairgrounds a few weeks after that started who sells cast iron in all shapes and sizes...had a good conversation with him one day based on a lot of what Keith had mentioned.

Baseball. Hot Dogs. Apple pie. Chevrolet. Cast iron cookware.

Ford The only reason Ford is the best selling truck, is that Chevrolet truck is still going! :ROFLMAO:

The reason ford is best selling is due to their stripped down models are favorites of municipalities who are looking for biggest bang for buck. Knew the fleet director for Alabama Power. He rated Chevrolet 1, Dodge2, and Ford 3. Mechanical problems with Ford couldn’t keep them on road. Dodges had serious interior problems with switches, handles etc.

I bought my wife some Smithey cast iron skillets, dutch oven, and stuff for Christmas. They're right by you in Charleston as I'm sure you know. Some heavy cookware.

I'm offended that you didn't mention the WoollyAl migration @Kirk Van de Graaff

... That of which it appears I'm the lone remaining contributor still hanging around here, after what? 10-plus years?

Yeah, I'm familiar with them. I don't have any of his cast iron stuff. I do have his wok (carbon steel.)

Thought it was funny the first time I saw the line(s) and people paying extra money to have it engraved. It's a skillet.

My mom was born in '38. My cast iron skillets, griddle, Dutch oven ... all came from my grandmother and they are all older than my mother.

Heavy? Oh yeah. "Assault with deadly weapon" weight. That griddle could do as much damage to a 'noggin'' as a dull axe.

That's awesome you got that good old stuff
Seasoned right and quality. Yeah, I didn't quite understand the engraving piece of it all. How you like that carbon steel from them? I didn't know anything about the carbon steel, so stuck with cast iron.

Whatever happened to PsychoJoe? Miss talking hoops with him. I remember when I first signed up, he and I were messaging each other about Shannon Hale potentially being kicked off the team.

Guessing he loves how the program looks now.

When I was looking earlier this year for 3/4 ton, I called a distant relative that is a salesman’s at a Chevrolet dealer in Louisiana.
He said do not by a GM, over 85% of the 3/4-1 tons that sell are in the shop within 5-6 months (constant problems). My son loves his F250 $$$$. One of my good friends just lemon lawed his F350 though. I’m bought a ram 2500. Best bang for buck (the way I wanted it set up).
Paid $85,000, ford waited $95,000for the same set up, Chevy $92,000.

I remember Psycho well. And there was a guy, can’t remember his name, that was the forum chaplain. Drawing a blank at the moment.

Read you loud and clear. Should have clarified I was referring to 1/2 ton and this was back in 90s.

Wife love cooking on these cast irons, We have a flat cast iron that my grandmother would cook my grandfather his flat bread on. He didn't like rise bread. My Dad got it when his Mother pass away. It's no telling how long she had it before she passes. He got it around the early 1950's way before I was born. I got it when I move into their home. It has no kind of marking on it.
