šŸˆ BOWL WEEK: Saturday, 12/30: Miss State (Won) is one of four games today as the SEC (1-3) gets its first bowl win.

I guess Urban Cryer is a players' coach. Maybe I'm just a curmudgeon, but I wouldn't let Ward, or any player who sits out the bowl game because he doesn't want an injury before he goes pro, walk the sideline with his soon-to-be former teammates. I see him as nothing more than a distraction.

After that player helps make said Coach a nice raise and contract extension... Gimme a break.

Damn I wish we had a pass rush like OSU. Their D-line is incredible. Hope Clemson's doesn't play that hungry. And wouldn't mind having Sheffield still in the fold.

There's two ways to look at this. Personally, I'm taking another view.

Thank the good Lord Bama doesn't have an offensive line that was coached by Bob Connelly and is now coached by Neil Calloway. And to think USC's offensive linemen actually thought Connelly was the best offensive line coach they've had?!?!

One good thing. Next season we won't hear "Barrett is a front runner for the Heisman."

Weird thing to me is hearing Barrett is now the all time yardage leader for the Big 10 passing Drew Brees. Statisical comparisons this season have been very misleading.

How many saw the post-game interview with Meyer with his wife by his side? If you were to mute it, and just watch her, you'd think they were part of the 700 Club with her shaking her head in agreement. It was as if she was saying, "Amen. Preach."

I saw Kendall Sheffield last night. Why was it he left the Bama program?
His father thought he could push Saban around a bit by telling the staff that Kendall should be starting. It was following one of the practices in August and he said (paraphrased) "Kendall should be guaranteed a starting position or he will be gone."

And now the rest of the story ...

He gone.

The way Clay Helton recruits at USC I fully expect him to be around a few more years. But the Trojans play soft football and whoever is in charge of working with Darnold should be gone. I thought the second half effort by the buckeyes was telling. They are not a 4 quarter team that gives you the same performance. Who couldn't argue the committee got it right?

:blahblah:

Thought this reply to the "fly in the ointment guy" was the best:

114 yards passing, 4 1st downs in the 2nd half, and only crossing mid-field (to the USC 42) the entire second half with all starters playing.... I don't call that domination. And all 3 TDs came off turnovers. OSU had 1 real offensive drive the entire game and it ended in a field goal. Hell, only crossed midfield on their own twice the 1st half (field goal and got to 43) and once the 2nd half. Offense was not impressive at all. QB pressure was good, but that was the extent of it. USC had 410 yards of offense even with 8-9 sacks. And OSU got away with at least 2 obvious pass interference penalties. A team that lost to an unranked team by 31 is NOT one of the best 4 teams in the country. Period. Consistency still counts for something.
