The whole deal during Monday night's game reminded me a lot of Ryan Newman's wreck at Daytona a couple years ago. Nobody was saying it during the broadcast, but based on the reactions and how it was being treated, it was almost assumed that Newman was dead. Turned out, he got lucky, and things just looked really bad. In a similar way, I hope Hamlin continues to make progress and walk out of that hospital while hugging his family, very soon.
