I was there when he opened. While I didn't hang out at the Houndstooth that often, I would go there occasionally when The Back Porch wasn't open yet. I got to know Gary then.

Here's something I have never thought about, seriously, before your question. I rarely was at the corner of Wade and Bryant before he opened. Heck, dated a girl that lived on Wade (remember those old brick apartments) but always went to her place coming off of University.

I had a place off of 13 St. E for several years. I'd take Bryant into campus but I'm farther than Hackberry. I'd take University to get to Queen City before I'd take Bryant.

Texaco! I lived in Stadium Apartments about 200 yards down on 8th Street. They have since been torn down and replaced with some very nice condos.

@TerryP best thing about those old apartments was their proximity to The Strip!! Also, closest off campus living to the school!

Not sure what the refs are watching, but both of these short 3s we've shot are after being hacked hard on the hands...can't win if the Refs will let them constantly contest 3s by fouling.
