The Vols were too much for Bama tonight and win it 10-7. That early 5-0 hole Bama found themselves in is more like 10-0 against Tennessee. Glad Bama battled back some, but that was a lot to overcome while expecting to keep them off the board for the final 7 innings. This UA squad ain't bowing down to anyone though, they will fight you for 9 full, and they did it again tonight, making things interesting in the 8th and 9th. The series will be settled tomorrow, here's hoping Bama claims it.

Things not going well thus far... Vols up 5-0 in the 3rd. Quick didn't have it, Blackwood is in to pitch already. Need to stop the bleeding and find some runs on offense.

FWIW, Vaughn said after the game that Quick developed a blister on his finger that impacted his slider which is why he couldn't throw it for strikes. That makes me feel a good bit better because he definitely didn't look comfortable out there.

Never had that happen in my playing days but I am sure it is uncomfortable. Against the hated Viles you need to have you best for sure.
