When I was in Tuscaloosa we'd often take the "back roads" down to the Gulf. The drive from here up to the Myrtle area, Conway and the like...reminds me a lot of that drive. It's hwy, but a lot of country hwy.

I had a bit of business this morning...drove down to Callie's Hot Little Biscuit for a meeting. I recognized a truck. It's parked two blocks from the house: always crowded with kids. Seriously. 8-10 cars a night. It's off in the corner and they're relatively quiet...for a group that is supposed to be in Omaha? I think I need to go tell 'em.

That in itself makes me want those guys to win it all! I imagine the infielders rake the dirt around their bases, pitchers fill in and tamp the mound and the catchers are responsible for home plate and batters boxes. Outfielders, they get to rake basepaths.

While I'm not trying to beat my own drum here ... as soon as that regional was announced I was pointing to Florida and saying, "you don't know what ya got." How many games has CCU won in a row now? It has to be getting close to 30.

The L is going to come. But, we're in double elimination now.

But is it a commonly tracked? Who holds the record for OOC, mid week wins? Is this measurement tracked at the high school, college and pro level? It’s a public relations stat no different than a team’s record when wearing red uniforms. It’s nice to know but means nothing.
