Nothing substitutes for hard work, discipline, talent and coaching. Mottos are fine but they are not going to win anything for you. I will say in my view competitors should not need it. Seems like an external factor to me but what do I know....

Not a motto person ..... either.....
Every once in awhile one fits.... should have a short shelf life
Some are petty and cheap
Some wear out their welcome
Some are so stupid..

But people seem to like 'em .......they sell on Tshirts. Or fit bill board space

I guess...sometimes...they just mean more...

Those players don’t care what our members think of their slogan, they sold crap-tons of merch. They counted stacks for a while after rolling that out. And not a one of us would turn down an opportunity that easy for a significant income stream. I didn’t like it and didn’t buy the shirt. But if I were a college kid or college athlete, I’d have signed up quick to market it. I worked for $5:50 an hour when I was in college. Times were tough! I didn’t WANT to eat ramen noodles 2-3 times a week.

Yeah do not blame the players. heck they were just sitting back taking in cash. I think LANK was a distraction for performance on the field.

These guys at 18-19 are just not mature enough to handle what comes with having lots of $$$ in my opinion.
