Hopefully we hear something today. Lot of people are freaking out and becoming full pessimist because of no news, but Oats has always taken his time in the offseason. Philon signed the 28 April and Cliff 5 May of last year. Then Brian Adams wasn't announced as the defensive coach until mid summer if I remember.

Good luck to him. Do wish we could have the old days of players redshirting and developing for 2-3+ years and become a good player. But unfortunately those days are gone.

Have to say too, our NIL game is awful. I don't think Oats is happy that we aren't committing more and it could lead to him unfortunately leaving because of it. But simultaneously, he and other college coaches do not like NIL.

This has been brought up maybe three times since season. It'll take a lot for Oats to leave Alabama at this point ... And if he does, it'll be for NBA eventually. He passed up lot of good jobs within college circle.

NIL deal, they're competing but they're not willing to shell out lot of money, simple as that.

I don't know if I said it last season, but I do know our NIL game is not onpar with a lot of SEC schools.

He's definitely going to leave for the NBA. I just hope it's not this year after the NBA playoffs conclude. The Bucks and Nuggets job just opened and those are intriguing jobs.

Hopefully he stays though because his daughters are in school at Alabama.

Griffen should commit back to Alabama sometime this week though. Should have never left in the first place.
