The discussion of Marcell potentially being a #1 overall, Bama's first ever, certainly makes a good arguement for him being the best investment in a 3-Star recruit - ever.

Javier Arenas could be a challenger to that considering that he had only 2-offers coming out of HS, with Bama offering as a Return Specialist. Becoming and All-American CB while also falling just short of being the best return guys of all-time in college football is uber impressive.

Who else would challenge these two as the best 3-Star ever to wear the Crimson?

Hard to knock Pro out of that group.

i'll say this, most impressive 2* I can think of - LSU's Hester. struggling with a Bama guy that would fit that bill (I'm not including kickers in my thinking)
