Jaylen had a great game last night. If Miami had an O line they could be really good. Tua was getting killed last night and he had half a second to throw almost every time.
Not much reporting on our guys this week. Mac had a pretty good game against JAX (22/30 227 yds, 3 TDs). Nagee had a pretty good game against CLE 28 FOR 188, 1TD. Jalen led the Phleagles to a win over the Deadskins. I am glad that Mac had such a good comeback after last week. These were just a few examples of successful former Bama players this week. ROLL TIDE!
Chase passed Mac in offensive ROY odds going in to week 18. He’s having a great year for a rookie WR and for a guy that didn’t play last year, but he’s got a great QB. Mac is playing on a team that was awful last year and has no WR star power. I think it will come down to the wire. Najee should get some talk but I haven’t heard him mentioned as much as Chase and Mac.

Quarterback is a much more difficult position than wide receiver. After all, who gets the ball to Chase, a quarterback. Burrow was the #1 pock throwing to Chase. Mac does not have that first round weapon. What Chase has done has been great, but a rookie quarterback outperforming everyone and setting records himself that has a team headed to the Playoffs that missed last year is pretty amazing.

On Tuesday — a day after the Dolphins fired their former head coach in Flores — a new report said he had an F-bomb-filled “meltdown” with the quarterback at one point this season.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, during halftime of a Week 16 loss to the Titans that crushed the Dolphins’ playoff hopes, Tagovailoa claimed that Flores “doesn’t know how to talk to people.”
Flores, meanwhile, reportedly said he needed “better f—king play” from the quarterback.

No doubt if this is how he was talking to Tua he was tone def. In my professional position I tell people ALL the time how you treat people matters. Just got through listening to a TED Talk that addresses this very thing from leadership. This does not mean you do not challenge people but how you do it is extremely important in getting real sustainable results. People like CNS have figured this out. Sounds like Flores is was an authority but not a real leader.
Same with Waddle. Despite how many records he broke this year, PFF Focus had a pretty solid article going over how much he's been limited this year because of the routes he was forced to run. His bread and butter at Bama were routes over the middle, especially deep routes, and he has ran VERY few at all this season primarily because of their "dink and dunk" style of play. Though, in the coaches defense, you can understand it because of how poor the offensive line is.

I was thinking much of the same the couple of times I actually got to see him play on tv. I never really thought we got to see what makes him so dangerous, and it's those catches over the middle where he can clear the sideline out and outrun everyone, much like that play in the ESC Championship that we ran a lot. He had a ton of catches and did a lot of good, but if they unleash him, watch out!
Alabama has more than its fair share of players currently on NFL rosters. It should come as no surprise that some of the leagues best players are former stars of the Crimson Tide.
Now that the regular season is over and the playoffs are underway, ESPN has decided to release its list of the top ten NFL rookies from the 2021-2022 season.
Alabama landed three of the top ten and a handful of others that just missed the cut.
Representing the Tide was Mac Jones at No. 2, Patrick Surtain II at No. 7, and Jaylen Waddle at No. 8.
Najee Harris, Christian Barmore, and DeVonta Smith all narrowly missed out on being in the top ten.
Stay tuned to Roll Tide Wire for all the latest on the former Crimson Tide stars now in the NFL.
Najee, Christian,DeVonta should had been in the top ten rookies. I mean Najee over a 1000 yards.
I really want the Titans to get to the super bowl, for king Henry and Julio. But tannehill is so bad. He’s one of the most overrated qbs in the nfl. He’s so inconsistent.ugh
Another group of Alabama guys taking the L with the Titans. Atleast Jonah Williams was on the Bengals. The basketball win helped stop the bleeding as well.

He IS the most overrated QB in the NFL. He sucks. Has since he was in the league. I don’t know why they think a journeyman will take them to the promise land. Look at all the tools around him. D held the Bengals to 19 despite his 3 INTs. Incredible effort by Tannehill and Vrable to lose that game. Took a lot of effort to lose that one.
