TUSCALOOSA ā After an intense fourth-quarter conditioning program, Alabama coach Nick Saban knows how fast his players can run, how big they are, how strong they are and that theyāre in good shape.
The next step ā for one day, at least ā comes today. Alabama uses the first of its 15 spring practices this afternoon. The Crimson Tide will then break for a week with the rest of the university, and resume workouts on Monday, March 19.
Saban said heās interested in seeing his players on the field.
āWhen you start practicing football, then you have a little bit better chance to evaluate a guy,ā the coach said this week.
