Yeah, ye olde WoollyAl was accessible on Tapatalk.
Tiptap, eh?
This site was as well until I turned off the access. I had to have an add-on on the server to allow members to use the app...but that add-on also gave them access to everyone's profile: without asking permission. So, email, IP, you name it...
Here's where it gets interesting. We were on vBulletin at the time. This was around 4.2, 4.3 of their software. I saw the risk. But, there wasn't a way...well, not a user interface friendly method to read the site. It was ... yeah, you know the word that was coming.
Two things happened around that period. I realized that a lot of people were too lazy to learn basic browser functions. (Yeah, some probably didn't understand them: still don't.) And two, Lance and I moved the site to Xenforo. '
To this day people are addicted to apps. I've got that here. You just have to download it if that's your preference.
As to tiptap...
D. It's a bad ass editor if you know markdown and BBcode...never have to take you hands off the keyboard. (Markdown is the language you want to learn. It's easy.
gives you a quote box. ) If you have the time, read through the thread Chris has there that I've linked...I know, it's me "geeking out." I don't have the email on the day it's dropping...but I can tell you this. I think it'll take me about 30 minutes to configure it. It took HOURS on the one we are using now.
The flash message improvements (PM notifications, quote notifications, etc.) are really revamped...it's a good one too.
Featured threads are changing...uploads are changing...the app is changing.
There are going to be a hell of a lot of "Easter Eggs" I'm going to drop...but, I'm not going to point to them.
