šŸ“” 2018 NCAA Coaching changes - Former Alabama assistant Derrick Ansley lands at Tennessee

If Holgersen goes to Houston, I wonder if Rich Rod has any interest in the WVU job? I don’t know if WVU would have any interest in him. He has a lot more baggage now than when he left.

sure hope the Houston situation settles soon.. hear that they interviewed Tosh???? isnt that a bit of a stretch? has 1 year as a coordinator and no head coaching experience...
Wouldn't it be a marvel to see that same coaches at Bama for 2 or 3 years in a row...

Reitch was a lap dog for em.
180 degree from their image
What are you saying here? Richt was a 180° turn from their image?

Yes..From the image they wanted...they want more arrogant ...Kiffin type...shocked they didnt give it a go.... manny seems to be a pretty nice guy?
Like Florida hiring nice guys...they want bad boy types....Meyer...Spurrier...( maybe not bad boys but at least arrogant).

When I think about Mark Richt's UGA teams I'm quick to remember all the arrogance (national title contenders year after year,) the shit talk (off the field, and on the field,) and to me that's what Miami hired.

As a comparison, I see the hiring of Richt at Miami a lot like I do the A&M hire when they pulled fRan from Bama. Both coaches walked into a situation where the players already had little respect for their new head coach. A&M didn't buy into fRan; it's easy to see why. It's no different in Coral Gables.

Schools and coaches have short memories, but Rich Rod took a scorched earth approach when he left WV as I recall, including destroying the player development files of existing players so the new staff had no baseline for development.

Well silly season should really get underway today with college assistant coaches. Not sure that it will happen but the Diaz move leaves 17 players signed by him at Temple looking like a bad deal. This early signing deal makes HC's moving on after the completed season much worse than the old Feb deal.
