| GAME THREAD 2018-'19 National Title game: Alabama versus Clemson

@EasyTider, If I added coaching in front of my username, does that give me more credibility? Ah, I digress...

FWIW, for the two tweets you've embedded here, a small word of advice...or, we can just call it a suggestion.

You've heard the expression, "Trust, but verify?" In this case, I'd avoid that sentence from the first word.

FWIW, Josh is practicing tomorrow.

So which defensive line is the best? Alabama has played some stout ones already...

Miss State, Oklahoma (kidding), Clemson, Alabama's during practice?

The Clemson safeties are a weak spot for them and, if we can give Tua (or Jalen for that matter) enough time, we should be able to burn them a few times for BIG plays. I think our D is going to have to play lights out. Their QB isn't extremely mobile, but he is deceptively fast if he gets an open lane. Also, the RBs (particularly #9) are very talented. Their offensive attack may resemble UGA with the ability to run and throw the ball. Their D will be a stout test. Running the ball will be helped with a strong passing game, but is no walk-in-the-park. The weather may add to the challenge, but I see Bama a slight favorite. Results should be somewhere between the A&M game and the UGa game.

400+

You read that correctly: Four-hundred and five people, according to one member of the family helping to organize travel and logistics. And the number is expected to grow. Many of those relatives live in the Bay Area, but flights full of Tua fans are coming from Hawaii as well. Many others are flying or driving in from Utah, Colorado, Seattle and other points throughout the West.

Alabama has a secret weapon for the national championship game

That's crazy.

I once attended an extended family reunion as a kid and we had about 100 at that, which I thought was a lot.

405 though? Jeez.

I can't imagine...

Terry - Your amateur opinion of whether T. Lewis plays?!
I'll give you an educated guess.

Back in '09 Star Jackson had a few snaps behind Greg and AJ was looking at 'shirting. About halfway through the season, while we were getting practice reports that had Star running the two's, before the games it was AJ in that role. If the unfortunate had occurred, and Greg was hurt, AJ would have burned his 'shirt that season.

TL is getting reps with the 2's right now. We are looking at an injury situation. Saban has said no, but I have to wonder if we saw another injury at linebacker do we see him take the field.

It certainly would be a delicious irony to see him play.

Great insight... Thanks!

Although I was thinking Lewis had only played in 1 game this year? If it's less than 4, wouldn't a RS be in tact regardless?!

And the main reason I asked is because I saw him running with the 2's as you mentioned!! To me that meant Saban was serious about him playing... Otherwise another guy would be more in the mix....

Will be something to watch for sure! At this point, Jennings may be the most important performer on the D. Hope he brings the pain to Clemson!
