| FTBL You guys remember Lance Thompson?

Was going through some coaching clinics when I stinked across and interview with Lance Thompson. That's a name I haven't thought about in years, which I'm not sure why. He was a great coach for us when he was here, I'm surprised we haven't tried to hire him back( that I know of). I know it didn't end well with him and Saban, so maybe that's the main reason. If any of you have any information I'm unaware of, feel free to share. Again, I can't believe I forgot about him.

If Lance was the offensive coordinator in 2018, Tua is still on the bench.

As a home owner, I wouldn't trust Lance to build a fence.

The only star ratings Lance pays attention to are on pornhub; MILF categories.
Maybe I'm forgetting more than I thought, I thought Thompson was always a defensive coach? I know from what I can remember him being here, he was out OLB coach.

The way he left was a bit snakey. From refreshing myself on it, Saban was not happy with him. Feels similar to when Enos left. That's probably the reason why we haven't heard his name pop up when positions were available.

Saban wasn't happy with him because he had his second chance and repeated the same bullshit he did in his first stint at UA.

He left UA with Steele and went to AU (second time at UA.) He is up with Locks at Maryland now.

LT was a great recruiter.
LT was a decent OLB coach.
LT, as a person?

Yeah...don't want to go there this morning. It would be a buzz killer.

I can't believe at how much shit I forgot regarding him(maybe it was for the best). You're right, he did the same shit when he left for Tennessee. The guy burned a very important bridge, one that could've helped him propel back up in the coaching ranks. I'm starting to gain my memory back of all of it, and I'm with you.... I wish I hadn't.

Not sure if it has been settled, tossed, or still awaiting it's day in court, but last year he had a lawsuit filed against the SEC for basically blackballing him after his South Carolina departure, and subsequent NCAA scarlet letter.

Did you see Lane post game? He's buried "Joey Freshwater;" sober. I saw genuine emotion out of him after the game...and a lot of that has to go back to Leach.
There did appear to be some real gratitude and appreciation from him. Not a side I have seen from him often. It was refreshing.
