šŸˆ Who is on upset alert this weekend? I think two are obvious to us; SEC contests.

A&M at Texas was likely the first that came to mind, right? A&M was -2.5 when it was posted in the 'book. Not withstanding my 'feelings' about Texas, I DO NOT want to see an A&M upset. It would mean Bama is playing UGA for the second time, which I don't mind. But, it also sets up Bama playing UGA a third time in the playoffs.

It's the same spread with UofSC favored when they host Clemson. Given HFA is factored in to the -2.5 ... translates into the 'books having Clemson as the better team; but the home field sways the final score. I don't know...

I haven't looked at either game in any significant detail. Just eye ball OBS, ya know?

I could see Navy tonight ... might be a good ball game. It's Memphis -5.5. Navy outright? Shaky. Covering? I'm leaning there.

Texas has been too up and down this year to put any faith in a bet. You’ll just be guessing and hoping. The spreads just reflect how the average better is thinking. If the line starts at -7 for a team and a lot of bets are placed on -7, the bookies will change the line to -9 to try and bring in more money to pay off bets of anything -8.5 or less. Remember, Vegas doesn’t create odds to be right, they make odds to make money.

Looking at the odds for the weekend, there aren’t a lot of close games projected. Of those that are: Tennessee is favored over Vandy. I think Vandy takes it.

Texas has been playing better of lately and TAMU has been struggling to start lately.

The movement in the spread is a reflection of how the public is thinking. The spread itself, is not.

Well... let me put this way. Manning has been playing better lately. They are inconsistent team. When they're hot, they're hot. when they're cold, they're cold.
Aight. I've kept an eye on those games and saw a different team each time it seemed. Hell, change the uniforms and everyone would have been guessing.

I'd love to see the ol' "never can expect the outcome in a rivalry game" to be just that; a Texas 'upset.' It would put TX in the playoffs, which I don't want to see. But on the other hand, as an opponent in those playoffs?

That one is like the "Palmetto Bowl." There, it's always "is there going to be a fight?" Ya never know.

The Egg Bowl tends to be the same. Ya never know. An upset. A fight, A player acting like a dog. It's had them all.

ESPN's App has three versions of the game. This should be fun: one TV on the game and a monitor with the Sky-View broadcast on another.

I've never tried this before. I don't know why it didn't dawn on me before today.

@50+yeartidefan Earlier this week I was flipping through channels looking for some background noise while working around the house. I came across a UofSC v Clemson game: 2004. I immediately recognized the game. It was Holtz last one. Spurrier was coming in the next season. And, there was a fight. That one...'twasn't pretty compared to the ugly ones we've seen.

Last season you and I were in the middle of one of our conversations about Dabo. I'd mentioned living close to Tracy, his brother, when I (and they) were at UA; living off of 15th. He was BAD news then. And, as it would happen, he became of a cop. (Even worse.) He's now the director of security and community guy for Clemson.

Last year, before this game came up, I'm thinking ... another fight'? Welp. Yep. And in the middle of it all? Tracy. But hey, at least Dabo has one brother that isn't a pedophile.

Dabo. The nepo. And the pedo.

Anywho...instead of digressing any further:

SECN, noon, today. If you watch, I'll be as well. We will see a meltdown. How bad?

Why fight. Really.
Funny thing...watching football players fight...with helmets and padding...
They get hit harder in regular competition....how you gonna hurt someone by hitting their helmet. With a fist.... now. I am regressing......

We had a topic earlier...about the biggest flops ( or something of that nature).... maybe this is "flop bowl". Both were predicted higher...but fell hard and fast...not surprising for one...but for Clemson...somewhat

Dabo...will recover....not sure USCe will... not sold on Beamer...

We all recognize ur dislike of Dabo...or maybe its Clemson....
If they wouldn't have fired Shula....you could have called it ur "dislike bowl "
Will not watch ...kinda like a Gaspilla/frosted flakes bowl...or any bowl for that matter

At least..its instate and maybe a good fight will create interest

I"m not surprised to see losses for Clemson. I am surprised to see this many.
