Five-star wide receiver Chris Black (Jacksonville, Fla./First Coast) will be making his college announcement a little sooner than what was once thought.
The 6-foot, 175-pounder is now scheduled to pick between Alabama and Florida State during a live broadcast on ESPNU’s College Football Blitz Friday. The show will air starting at 4:30 p.m. eastern.
Black has gone back-and-forth between the Seminoles and Crimson Tide, who have fought several epic recruiting battles this cycle thus far, throughout the process. He has been on the record at different points in the process with Alabama and Florida State both leading. It is believed his commitment will go right down to the wire.
“Every time I go back to Alabama, I come back and tell my teammates how different it is there,” Black told BamaOnline.com after his most recent trip to Tuscaloosa.
Black is the nation’s No. 19 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver prospect. He’s the third-ranked player in the Sunshine State for the 2011 class.
