🏈 With the weather this weekend..

I don't think UGA can ground and pound on our 10-12 D linemen. UGA is talented on their D line but not near as deep.

We used to have a wet ball practice every Tuesday while I was there. Homer Smith brought in the idea and it helped with every aspect of the game. Hopefully, this practice is still in place.

Our defense is better than theirs. Our defense is deeper than theirs. They have a couple of linebackers that are very good, but their second day is weak again. If ee'Re able to sustain the point that of contact, we should be able to ground and pound to a victory. Even if it wasn'the raining I wish we would see a ground and pound first to open up a passing game game.

I'make not worried about their offensive line against our defensive line either. Chubb is a special back, but I think we have the size, strength, and speed to slow him down in nasty conditions. I'make getting more and more pumped.

Rain definately favors the defenses but it also depends on the shape of the field, if the field still has some grab to it we could see some big plays open up around the ends of middle of the field as defenders will be more concious about footing to not let a big play get around them, long story short the shape of the field will tell the tale, as I have seen fields take a soaking and become like ice, whereas others still had some grab and big plays were not uncommon

I remember a HS game where, while it was not raining at game time, it had rained hard the day before and up until noon at game time. The field was a soupy mess, especially around the two goal lines. We had a big old lineman who had thirty pounds on the man he was blocking most of the time. We were about to score, but on this particular play our guy could not get any traction and got pushed back into the backfield by the smaller guy. On film day coach kept running that play over and over, and pretty much calling our guy everything but what his mother named him.

I know Georgia's field won't be anywhere near as bad as that high school field was, but when I consider games that may be affected by an off field I always think back to that game and that play.
