I agree.
Stats are for chumps. Stats only matter in fantasy leagues.
I get exactly what you are saying. It's difficult to complain about Hurts because of the record with hIm as the starter. But there has been little to no progression in his passing game.
Offensively, It seems like these coaches get hung up on numbers and/or being balanced. I say, just stick with what works. For instance, in the Auburn game Bama drives it down their throats running the ball to an easy score to start the 3rd Quarter. Then they basically abandoned the run! It's frustrating. It seems like the coaches are out thinking themselves instead of just doing what works. If that means running it 90%, so be it.
Personally, I don't see how we win this game unless the players and coaches are at the top of their game. There will be no room for error.
With respect I don't get into rankings since when you play the little sisters of the poor the entire ranking BS goes out the window. What you see is when Bama plays elite teams that have the talent to stop what Bama does best then Bama can't counter effectively at what we don't do so well. Forget names at positions.....it is about execution at those levels....
