🏈 Why should we expect Alabama to win?

I agree.
With respect I don't get into rankings since when you play the little sisters of the poor the entire ranking BS goes out the window. What you see is when Bama plays elite teams that have the talent to stop what Bama does best then Bama can't counter effectively at what we don't do so well. Forget names at positions.....it is about execution at those levels....

Stats are for chumps. Stats only matter in fantasy leagues.

I get exactly what you are saying. It's difficult to complain about Hurts because of the record with hIm as the starter. But there has been little to no progression in his passing game.

Offensively, It seems like these coaches get hung up on numbers and/or being balanced. I say, just stick with what works. For instance, in the Auburn game Bama drives it down their throats running the ball to an easy score to start the 3rd Quarter. Then they basically abandoned the run! It's frustrating. It seems like the coaches are out thinking themselves instead of just doing what works. If that means running it 90%, so be it.

Personally, I don't see how we win this game unless the players and coaches are at the top of their game. There will be no room for error.

I must have missed when Clemson somehow became the Patriots. Guess they just decided to stay in Carolina when they played Syracuse, huh? World beaters.

Until we beat them they are world beaters as far as I'm concerned.

Clemson was able to beat Auburn. Auburn beat us in every aspect of the game. We were out played and out coached. Totally out classed.

All the sunshine pumping will not will a win.

Clemson has looked solid, we have looked shaky as hell lately.

Bama can win, but it will require the defense being in position and Hurts executing under pressure. He will have to trust his receivers to make plays. They will not be open by 5 yards.

Transitive property doesn't work in football. But if it did, according to your Clemson/Auburn example
Syracuse beat Clemson, LSU beat Syracuse, Bama beat LSU, So Bama>Clemson
Syracuse beat Clemson, FSU beat Syracuse, Bama beat FSU, So Bama>Clemson

Why is everyone giving Clemson props for the best they have played, while in turn grading Bama at it's worst?

I would bet money you haven't watched more than 30 seconds of a Clemson game this season.

It's just the way some fans are. The first sign of any tiny bit of weakness and the sky is falling. We saw it in 2010, saw it in 2013, saw it in 2015. We'll see it again Im sure.

We'll see it again Im sure.
There's a small part of me that wishes the 'net was available in '90 after the Sugar Bowl loss to Miami. I was in my early 20's and that point in life and was embarrassed by the actions of quite a few Bama fans. I'm not too far from that today.

We've known, collectively, when the Bama football program has issues it's due to it falling in upon itself. I'm seeing that outside of the staff today.

It is a bit ironic to me when I think about what Miss Terry said a few years ago about a large part of the fan base not appreciating what we're experiencing. That statement is oh, so true today.

Apples and Walnuts. What do they have in common? They both come from trees.

Auburn at Clemson vs Alabama at Auburn. The only thing they have on common is they were both football games. To even suggest the Auburn team that faced Clemson was the same team that faced Alabama? To me, that's laughable. I seriously doubt any team in college football could have beaten Auburn in Jordan Hare, in November this season.

I understand that you can't always compare teams. That was more of a comment based on the world beater post.

I do appreciate what the team is doing and I realize this is the golden era of Bama football. That doesn't mean that there is no room for criticism.

Nothing is more annoying that sunshine pumping. I'm just being honest.

I hope Bama wins it all, I just have a difficult time seeing this team beat Clemson, who looks like a more complete team. I have zero confidence in Hurts making big throws down the stretch. I would love to see us utilize the stable of running backs better.

I would love to see the offense stick to what works and not be so odsessed with numbers.

The defense will have to be disciplined.

I'm expecting the worst and hoping for the best.

Sunshine pumpers? How about just believing in your team? I think you’re giving Clemson too much credit and Bama not enough. Seems like you have taken the Clemson rat poison and washed it down with Clemson kool-aid. I bet all of you doubting mf’ers are going to be crowing the loudest when we put a whoopin on Bryant and Clemson.

If Clemson is able to run 90-100 plays again this year...we are in trouble. The answer...the offense has to help the defense by staying on the field more than 3 plays at a time. It doesn’t matter how many explosive plays you have as seen in last years championship game. If you can’t put together several first downs, regularly, on offense...you are hanging your defense out to dry. The defense has to get off the field on 3rd downs. We do that, we win...that’s my 2 pennies

I hope you are right. Speaking of crow, I'll be the first to come here and eat it with a Bama win.

OU 45 points
OSU 42 points
CU 40 points
CU 35 points

what can the defense do different in 2017 minus the 7 guys that are/were starting in the NFL for 2017? We'll see soon

Literally no one in here was "sunshine pumping." Most of you pretending that Clemson were unbelievable world beaters (more like all of you) had likely not watched a single second of Clemson game this season. I in no way ever said they weren't a good football team but Jesus some of you wanted to pretend like they were the second coming of the Patriots or some shit, despite the fact that there offense was nothing like last season. NOTHING. They weren't going to throw the ball 50 times, thats not who they are/were.
