🏈 Whats your gameday traditions?

It's seasonal thing with me. A different set of hats for the season and then another for the next season. Got four this year...no way we lose more games than that and I'll throw the damn hat away if we lose.

Kiddin'...

Not on the hat issue...don't throw things like that away, ya know?

Other than that, leave me the hell alone during a ball game. I don't want food, if I do I'll get it. If I want a drink, I'll get it. Leave me the hell alone! I might, occasionally, jump in on a game thread. In other words, don't talk to me.

I do have one person I IM during games. But, we have our quiet moments as well.

That explains it! And I thought it was something I said.

Just my game day stomach. Bunch of nerves, that's all.

I've tried all the different "wear only this, wear only that, lucky penny, lucky jewelry, etc..." Once it fails me I'm left to find something else which I stopped doing a few years back. Nothing is ever 100%.

I'll wear my trusty Bama cap, use my trusty Bama cup or coozie depending on the beverage, and pretty much must be left alone with the exception of halftime. If it's not going good, I need that halftime back to figure out what's gone wrong. ;) Oh yeah, I have a trusty football to grip during those nerve racking moments.

Other then that, it's all good. :a:

I had my last gameday shirt from 2007 to last years Bowl game. New gameday shirt for this year. Every Saturday morning I go and get a slab of pork ribs, slaw, amd tater salad from one helluva local BBQ joint. I watch Gameday then wait till kickoff. Thats about it....nuthin fancy but its tradition :a:

We hang the Bama flag in front of the house(we live in Illinois).

We flew to Atlanta in 09 for the Bama v Vatech season opener and my wife hung out the flag on that Friday night, since our flight was at 6am Saturday morning. It obviously was a great season, so now, my wife has to hang the flag out every Friday night.

other than that, we just cook a bunch of homemade appetizer type food and watch the games as a family. And I only nearly put a hole in the drywall once, Tiffen getting a FG blocked at the end of the LSU game 08.
