Serious question, how many 9-3 8-4 type seasons does he get. I'm not on the fire him now train but I do wonder what the financial cost to mediocre seasons ratio is.

Too many intangibles involved too say. Maybe a another way to put it is, how many years without making the playoffs can he go without getting canned? I'd say in terms of the buyout size, he'd need to produce by 2027... 2028 for sure. It believe it should be around 30 million then, which would at least be doable.

Yeah thought about phrasing it that way but if they go to 16+ teams 9-3 could get you in. Kind of what I was thinking 2 to 3 more years unless he has a 24 FSU season

I would hope not... but I don't see this getting fixed in a major way this year.. there's a lot of deficiencies across the board...we played that way against a team that was a total rework..

Its not the losses. Its the way you lose ( and the losses). When you have talent. You really shouldn't lose the way they did.

There's plenty more to get things going.

If they can. Then its a great job. But. If it spirals down n down.

Then. Kill another season????

Yes, and that's what also makes it so confusing and hard to comprehend. This staff isn't trash. There are a coupe of weak points there, IMO, but overall it's a good staff. But the team and staff seem to get caught flat footed in these games way too often... it's a trend at this point. But last year... to beat UGA and throttle LSU like they did, but then shit the bed against teams like Vandy and OU... it shows they had the talent and ability to beat anyone. But also they have some major deficiency built in that makes them self destruct. Then, you hear all this good news in the off season and it sounds like the glitch was fixed, and they come out and blow up again 8 minutes into the first game of the season. I'm at a complete loss right now as to how that happens.

They thought they were the superior team.. they did not respect Florida State at all... the same thing happen against Michigan, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt... once that team starts thinking like that you can't get it out of their system.. no matter what the coaches say or do...They are going to lose those game just about every time..
