Both. I credit that more than anything UGA did. It's a good wakeup call.

All of the above, plus the team experiencing an adrenaline swoon and not taking advantage of running to our left side the first two series we had the ball in the second half.

Our kick coverage teams need to be more consistent. I hold my breath every time we have to kickoff.

Lets not forget the dawgs came out with fire in the 2nd half. Our speacial teams have hurt us for the last couple of weeks and really needs to be worked on big time! Hands team gives the ball right back to them on the next series, but also remember this time the tide DROVE down and scored in the 4th and the fat lady started up. So there were some postives and a lot of negtives as well.

Still a great win for our team and fans.

No kidding. :shock: This second half will only help us the same way Tulane did. Alabama should be stronger than ever now, IMO. It's a great day to be the Tide!! RTR

I think it is mainly the first two things you mentioned. UGA definately came out with more energy in the second half, but they also had to. If they had any hope of getting back in it they had to ramp it up. I think that the fact they could do that is a testament to how good a team they are.

BAMA, on the other hand, showed some of its youth and inexperience in the second half. But I'm prouid of them for taking Georgia's best shot and then answering it when it mattered.

Bottom line is that they didn't roll over and die like Clemson and Arkansas did against us. We might have been counting on them to do just that. They had some fight in them, but we were just too good.

we released our foot off their throat and when the scored 17 we applied the pressure to it again and scored on 2 straight series. After that it was Georgia trying to see how close they could make it look. Because they were embarrased.

It also looked like our defense conceded the passing routes underneath toward the latter part of the second half.

weezy, i think the difference was Stafford's ability to thread the needle and that we were usually only rushing 4 or 5 and they were blocking us. he made some unbelievable throws in the second half. your average college QB or even good QB wouldn't have been able to muster up that kinda show after being beaten so badly in the first half. i don't see Jarrett Lee dialing up those kinds of throws.

Stafford is going to play in the NFL for sure.

This TOTALLY sums it up. The team needed to play someone who would still fight & have some pride in themselves.

On offense in the 3rd quarter we just didn't execute well. I think we missed Ingram's power style in that quarter, but that is something that they have to adjust and overcome.

As far as defense went, they pulled back on pressuring and just tried to keep the plays in front of them. That opened up a lot of the field for Stafford, who is arguably the top NFL QB prospect out there right now. A guy like that is going to eat up yards in that situation.

In the end, the final score indicated a much closer game than it actually was. 3 special teams breakdowns directly led to 3 of their TD's (though the punt return for a TD was aided by an blaring block in the back on Anders, who would have made the play).

The way it turned out was the best case scenario though. BAMA won handily, but gave Saban a reason to have a mad on all week. And the special teams blunders will be something that catches the teams attention as well.

I saw a special teams struggle and secondary coverage break down....but you have a young team that is up by alot so its natural for a little slacking off with a big lead.....If i was a betting man I would say Saban doesnt let them forget about it all week.

Yup that's how I felt as well on the breakdown for the second half.

I think that Coach Saban was at the wheel the entire game. After the half, I think the plan was to eat as much clock as possible. Once Ga scored a couple times, we put the fist team back in, and once again, it was lights out for Ga.
What this game proved to me was that we can go anywhere, against anybody, and by the time the game is over, you will not want any more of us. We will come out from the first whistle and slug you right in the mouth. It will hurt, and we will not let up until the game is won. If we need to slug it out for four quarters...we can. Who cares what the media says. We know we can compete with anybody in the country, and as long as we keep winning, everything will take care of itself. Roll Tide.

Seems were not kool-aid fans bro. :shock: It scares me to be honest some what, really think about it we haven't been knocked down all year what happens when we do? Can we come back? Seems like all the games I've seen we've been ahead everygame. Never falling behind? I could be wrong on that so correct if I am, but I don't remember any.
