🏈 What are your feelings on the National title game?

Defense is gonna watch film from last year over and over again and be really pissed they gave up 40 points and 500+ yards to Clemson....thinking they may come in a bit on the angry side.
:bamadance:

I was nervous when we played Kent St. I'm always nervous when Bama play any game! But I go into any Bama game as a win, because I don't believe Bama will lose any game it play. I will use someone saying "the clock it zero, before Bama could win the game!":bman:

If we fall behind by 10-14 points. in the first quarter and a half its probably over, if the D can turn it into a slugfest we should win. Just cant let the game get to where Hurts has to win it with his arm.

I think we ultimately win, but I don't think it'll be a comfortable game to watch.

Ah, but those are the best kind!

I've thought about how much I've heard "they gave up 40 last year" and wonder know that they've heard it as much as I have.

I think Clemson "blew their wad" against against OSU. They will have very little left in the tank on the 9th.

Our O v/s Their D: Bama's running game is just starting to peak..against a very poor run defense. HWile they are keying on OJ Howard, the ball will got to Ridley and Stewart more.

Our D v/s their O: Our D is an angry "Hateful Bunch." Last year they were just a hateful bunch, and not angry. And they are much faster than last year. More "in-tune to demolish people like De'Shaun Watson. ( which is, by the way Spanish for "The Shuan" Watson.)

As Aaron would say

Clemson is good, don't get me wrong, but looking back at their season, they gave up a lot of points to some teams that are not as good as we are. Granted, our offense is odd at times but at this point, each team is what they are. Even if we struggle to score, I don't see the defense giving up 24 plus points...I may be way off base but I just don't see it. Deshaun tends to throw some questionable balls at times and I think we can take advantage of that........he does have some good wide receivers and we like to put our guys on an island so if he can be hyper accurate, we could see some deep balls caught. He does have some speed but I don't see him "Johnny Manzelling" himself all over the field. I am just not concerned about Sark calling plays, it is not as if he has not been with the team for the season, he knows the offense, he has seen every play all year, he knows what the capabilities are and for certain, I don't see him getting ultra cute in the red zone like Lane tends to do sometimes.

I feel confident about this game because of the individual match ups. Washington matched us better up front than Clemson does this year. I think that Bama is much better in the trenches on both sides of the ball than Clemson.

Our defense will stifle Clemson's offense and we should be able to hold their running game under 100 yds.(including qb) and Watson will give up at least one pick six... yep I said it. A simple plan of offensively pounding the ball with periodic first down passing will surprise everyone how much poorer Clemson is this year compared to last year.

Clemson is starting to remind me of the U of the 80's and FSU more recently with too much unthrottled emotion and showboating transferring into personal fouls. Because Clemson is a little haughty going into this game, it could turn into a literal brawl by the late 4th. when Bama is up by 14 or more.

We got this.

Interesting, if you look at our stats this year vs last year. Average rushing/receiving yards per increased and TDs almost increased...

Rushing and Passing yards are flipped AND almost identical comparing the two years AND we haven't played a 15th game. Not to mention, our D/ST has score how many points this year compared to last year...

2016 - Rushing 605 carries / 3454 yds / 5.7 avg / 30 TDs
2015 - Rushing 642 carries / 2999 yds / 4.7 yds avg / 33 TDs

2016 - Passing 251 of 385 / 2999 yds / 11.9 yds avg / 25 TDs
2015 - Passing 301 of 446 / 3407 yds / 11.3 avg / 22 TDs
