I’ve said he won’t play. If I’m wrong I will gladly eat that crow with some hot sauce and a Perrier to wash it down with. A 75% Waddle creates nightmares for a secondary that is pedestrian outside of Wade

As much as I'd love to see it and even with my comments, I just don't see him playing or being used as a decoy. This team is amazingly close and I just think he wants to be a part of it any way he can till the end.

Mac has worked with who is available...QB-receiver timing n trust is developed through practice....practice...practice...
And what kind of shape is he in for not being out there for 2 months....

hard to see an effective use....Waddle can come back next year...win HT..lol

Didn't a lot of their guys recently have it as well?

Seems they've had issues all season long. I guess their guy's decided not to "get it over with" in June. Poor choice, IMO. But make no mistake, as others have said and alluded to, this is about the health of Fields. He's apparently going to need every day and every hour possible to heal up from getting rib blasted.

Ha. Funny thing is, a few weeks ago I was really looking forward to Skalski and Landon Dickerson drawing offsetting personal fouls about 10 seconds after a play ended.

Also, who do Clemson fans root for in this one? They built up a lot of bad blood over the last year with Ohio State, but we also know they hate Bama (a mutual feeling). This has to be like we viewed Clemson vs. LSU last year... you're mad whoever wins.

IMO, I think they'd like to delay the game some to allow more healing time for Fields. They've purposely been vague on his status and the way his injury was handled during the game points to it being fairly significant. Can they shoot him up again and let get him to play? Sure. Would another 7 days or so help? I'd imagine so. I do believe they have 2 players who tested positive with COVID, but I think they were trying to use that to open up the delay conversation, which was not going to work.
