Veteran Alabama LB will miss spring practice with knee injury

Deontae Lawson will miss Alabama football's spring practices due to a knee injury he sustained during the 2024 season.

One of Alabama football’s leaders will miss spring practice due to an injury sustained during the 2024 season. Crimson Tide inside linebacker Deontae Lawson won’t return from a knee injury until preseason camp, he told the Crimson Tide Sports Network in an interview published Thursday.

Lawson was injured against Oklahoma in November.

“It’ll be until fall camp,” Lawson said in the interview. “I’ll definitely try to stay around as much as I can, obviously, but yeah, before I’m active, probably fall camp.”
