Anyone have a link to the press conference? I wasn't able to be near the tube at the time.

Thanks.

I saw a little clip of it on ESPN, not the whole thing. You can go to Tennessee's main web site and they have it there, a link over on the right of the page.

http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/110308aad.html

But, it requires that you install Microsoft's Silverlight video technology, a small plugin kind of like Adobe's Flash.

I am not going to do it because I have tried it before and it didn't work too well.

Not trying to promote my blog but i did manage to find about 4 mins off it...

Thanks ever so much. :)

I think this was mentioned earlier in this long thread, but what's the deal with his wife. To be honest, that was weird x10.

I know she was trying to give a public show of support, but that was just odd.

Thanks again.

Maybe she was tired of never getting to be on TV. :D

Phil has lost his game and is just plain easy to beat now. And he's just so much fun to bash. I'm sad to see him go.

Unless, of course, they end up wandering through the wilderness for 10 years like we did.

Stand by.....I can see the trees.

anyone looking for an intelligent conversation about this can private message me. It smells like stale donut jokes in here.

Speaking for myself, FatLock and intelligent conversation do not go hand in hand. If you truly realized the level of disgust that many have for this vile and contemptible man, I don't believe you would be on a 'Bama board asking for private messages about it.

Save your reputation and wise up on this subject. Sometimes you just have to let it go.

I've seen two or three clips and I haven't been able to find what you're referring to. I saw her standing behind him and moving closer to him when he started to choke up but I didn't see anything "weird". Did I miss something? If so, please give me a link.

I think Phil is a fat POS for his slimy involvement in tearing others down to make his own better. But, all I saw is what looked like his wife doing what spouses do - supporting their mate through the worst of times. It added a human element that I could have done without since it made me actually feel compassion for both of them at that moment. I'd have much rather completely enjoyed his misery.

I agree AFF that Fulmer is a POS but disagree that he worked hard to tear us down to make his better comment. He indeed worked hard in one area, that was to tear us down. He ignored his program to the point that he is now walking out the door at the end of the season. If he had minded his own business, we would have probably still gotten in some trouble, his program would have been better and he would've been able to leave on his own terms.

I was almost feeling bad about the fat loser.. then he starts in on how he played by the ncca rules, and ran a clean program...    I have no sympathy for him anymore.. NONE!

I don't have nearly the hatred for the UT program as I do the Aubies or even LSU now. I guess I dislike LSU because they place so much importance on beating us, and it just doesn't feel like a huge rivalry to me. But that's my personal opinion. Obviously, this week it's bigger than maybe ever before. But, sooner or later, those people down there have to forget about Saban. I don't know...Maybe they never will. Regardless, I don't care if UT suffers through one bad hire after another for a while. Everyone can't have or afford a top-name coach. Auburn's talking about a "big hire". UT's talking about a "big-hire"...Everyone is going to land the next Vince Lombardy. There has to be a last place team in the conference every year.

You honestly didn't think we would keep this civil, did you?

What year did his recruiting start falling off. I remember right before being NC real high ratings. I wonder if all the attention he drew to the SEC made him have to stop cheating at recruiting which made him lose his edge. Just wondering.

Part of the reason Fulmer went 'secret witness' was to stop the blatant cheating Logan Young was doing.

The other part was to engage in a plea bargin with the NCAA to have his own recruiting violations forgiven in exchange for information on a rival.

The NCAA, in their zeal to prosecute the then more public case involving Alabama, gave Fulmer just what he wanted - a 'Get out of Jail Free Card' for his prior violations.

But, as part of that pardon, they demanded he 'cease and desist' from that conduct - else when it became public (and it would) the NCAA was protecting a blatant cheater they would lose any argument of holding the higher moral ground.

Compare the recruiting hauls of Fulmer and Tennessee pre- and post-2001. His consistency of very highly ranked recruiting classes is not the same after as before.

A classic case of being careful what you wish for. Fulmer wanted to 'put Alabama out of business.' All he did was eliminate the ONE UA booster who was flagrantly violating the rules at a cost of himself being denied his pattern and system of cheating.

In the end, who is out of business now?
