šŸˆ šŸ† The College Football Playoffs - The Final Rankings and Bracket

Heading into the final straightaway there’s still 6 SEC teams vying for the CFP. Only 1 really had a test this weekend, so it’s very realistic to think all 6 could be in contention heading into the final week of the season. Oklahoma and Vandy have the highest hurdles, without a doubt. Vandy must beat UT and UK while OK must beat LSU and Mizzou.

The rankings come out tonight. All 6 of these were in the top 14 last week and should be again. But only 12 spots exist and the ACC will take one and the group of 5 will take one. So it’s looking like a team will have to be in the Top 10 to advance. Vandy would be on the outside looking in.

I don’t see much changing this weekend.

Bama hosts E. Illinois
Vandy hosts UK
OK hosts Mizzou
UGA hosts Charlotte
A&M hosts Samford
Ole Miss is off

I was thinking about this earlier. A&M won't move from last week. UGA and Ole Miss will move up. I wouldn't be shocked to see A&M and UGA in the top four (with Ole Miss lurking after facing BYU or Utah.)

Bama is the lowest tonight: #10. Vandy, like you said, just outside. I'm guessing #13.

Another thing I was wondering is if Bama is at #10, that puts the team looking at TTU or ... OU again.

I don't know. Just guessing. It'll change next week.

It'll match the BCS poll this week and next week, they'll make a couple of very slight changes if needed to set things up for the final poll.

Side note, starting to get a feeling Ole Miss is gonna blow the Egg Bowl. Kiffin or not.

Have some ole ms friends...they think the same ...kiffin at it again...
Ole ms says...commit to us or Florida...by msu game time....
Thats a hoot...commit to Florida...and you dont coach cfp... Florida can wait. I guess

The sec soap operas. I suspect...here will be significant surprise...in final rankings...
Nice thing for us. Bama is in control of it destiny...all you can ask for.

The reasoning Yurachek gave between ND and Bama was a fucking joke! We beat four ranked teams consecutively, and they are STILL ranked while ND has ONE and Oregon a whopping ZERO, yet the reasoning is Oregon has a win against Penn St? And Bama has struggled to run the ball all year? Seriously? GTFOH!!!

Said this before the year will reiterate said it last year also. There is no such thing as a quality loss only thing anyone cares about is Wins vs Losses it makes 0 sense for SEC to go to 9 conference games it also makes no sense for Bama to keep harder non-conference foes. Time to unload from those games and schedule cupcakes

Bama 3-1 vs the top 25

Interesting.
Still long way to go

AU licking their lips at chance to knock bama out

But bama beats au. Uga beats GaTech. AnM still has to goto Texas ....
AnM has 1 quality win. + missouri. ...so 2-0.

AnM beats Texas...they should play UGA. ...in sec championship game

Who said 12 team CFP wouldnt be exciting

So .....head to head out weighs ranking.......
I didnt think that was only tie breaker...
It's the first tie breaker after wins and losses. It's broken down in more detail in the SEC Standings thread.
Just gotta beat AU......dont matter after that..if we go to ole ms or oregon to play round 1
To get to ATL, all they have to do is beat AU. The only thing that will change beyond that would be a Texas win over A&M which would put UGA in ATL. UGA has posted their resume. They are above Ole Miss and below Bama regardless.

An A&M loss to Texas brings another tie-breaker into play (as talked about in the SEC Standings thread.)

Rankings may be fifth, if not sixth, in the tie-breakers. It's just above the coin flip.

Gotta ya....thanks.

So...AnM vs Texas. Gonna be hugh....
As is bama ...AU....what a weekend. ....
...wont know anything...well...some things...till end of Saturday night...
Stocking up on my budlight

Got a good draw imo. Oregon and Indiana. Playing each other has been the only "tough" games on their schedules. Have to win out though. Losing to Auburn, winning the SECCG would be the only way in. Beat Auburn and lose the SECCG, good chance they boot us out. Win'em all and remove all doubt.
