They should make Group of 4 play tge first team out for that final spot. James Madison vs Notre Dame and Tulane vs Vanderbilt. Would have solved everything, because an automatic bid for Hroup of 4 hurts SEC and Big Ten teams that face a gauntlet each week. Can laugh at the Big Ten gauntlet thought, but still better than most.

If you expand it by one then there will be crying to expand it by two. Expand it by two and there will be crying to expand it by three. And so on . . .

Agreed, but they would match ND-Vandy, and JMU-Tulane in order to have a G5 in the final 12. Those would have been of some interest this week along with Army-Navy.
