Ain't gonna lie, you had me checking ESPN to see what was going on Friday. Thought maybe one of the NFL playoff games was Friday night, like Texans vs Chiefs and you were predicting a Texan's upset.

IMO, Notre Dame winning would be the dagger in the current playoff format.
Non-conference independent wins the NC. Why play in a conference with a killer schedule and in a conference championship game risking injury?

It should only be 1-12… if you didn’t play good enough or win enough to be in that..then, it’s on that team… and it should really only be the top eight teams playing in a playoff.., 1-8..

Here another thing the bothers me about ND being in the playoff! When Bama played them in 2020 in the 4 team playoff, ND played Clemson in the 2020 ACC Conference Championship game. So why is ND allowed to be in it now? ND 10-0 vs. Clemson 9-1 ACCCG this year Clemson 9-3 SMU 11-1, ND 11-1. So why didn't ND play SMU for the ACC?

I can't believe I'm saying this, because it goes against everything I have believed for my entire life, but I actually hope ND wins Monday. I know I'm supposed to hate Notre Dame because of what happened in the past, and also because they're just obnoxious and annoying, but the truth is that over the years they have become almost irrelevant and inconsequential, and I hardly think about them anymore, until this year. And this year I have to admit that I like Marcus Freeman and how he has changed this program and their attitude. This year I despise OSU. They are the epitome of the evils of modern college football. They have an inflated sense of their own superiority, they are a team full of mercenaries who are only playing for the money, and their head coach is an overrated idiot with a spray painted beard. And I thought of another reason to want ND to win. If Marcus Freeman wins a title at ND when Brian Kelly departed for LSU to win a title, that would make BK look even more foolish, which is always a bonus. In conclusion, cheer for old Notre Dame and Touchdown Jesus. Beat OSU.

Ohio State is going to get a little over a million for the game (money split with conference.) Notre Dama taking home 21 million.

You're saying that because ND is independent they're getting that much more than a conference champion? That doesn't seem fair. Not only can ND schedule all the minor league teams they want, they get the lion's share of the money. They should be required to be in a conference.

ND played in the ACC in football just for 2020 due to COVID, after that, they went back to being an Independent in football. They do play 5 teams in the ACC during the season though. Not sure but I don't believe the ACC sets their schedule to which 5 teams.
