šŸˆ Trojans Backup QB Guarantees Win

I don't know, I kinda think along the lines with a few others - ND is gonna lose. The QB making the comments might change it a bit - I think ND is walking into the perfect storm.

USC lost, QB out, Kiffin on the ropes, ND being #1, the best player on USC is still there - WR Lee.

I really hope it doesn't happen, so that we have a shot at playing ND in the Championship. BUT, I wouldn't be shocked in the least if USC beats ND. I mean, how many of the ND players have ever been ranked #1 during their college career? And they sure are getting a whole lot of pub this week.

It's so hard to imagine myself pulling for Notre Dame, especially while being the #1 team in the country. It simply goes against the grain for me. Then, when I weigh how some of the possibilities weigh out if they lose, I would find it hilarious at the SEC hate that could once again be generated. As much as that would be awesome, I think I want BAMA to take ND off their pedastal. Of course, that's granted we have two more weeks of good to great football left in us before the bowl season.

ND 31
SC 27

I think there is a slim chance USC wins, but ND won't choke under pressure like Oregon and KSU did. Plus, I'd rather have clear-cut BCS championship game contenders rather than a few weeks full of chaos and uncertainty, and everyone bitching about it. At least if ND and Bama win out, it's more clear who belongs. Plus, to echo a lot of the sentiments on this board, how sweet would it be to A. ruin ND's perfect season and B. do it on the national championship stage? :icon_twisted:

I gotta give some props to the USC backup QB. Sure, it's cocky, but it also takes balls to make a statement like that. He has some tough shoes to fill, in probably the biggest game he has played in/ever will play in of his career (and he's only a freshman!). If he is trying to help pump up Trojan nation and his teammates, he is doing it right.

Funny how last weekend's shakeup has me praying in the opposite direction now.. and thank God bc I was getting sick at the thought of pulling for Kiffin this weekend. I'm now going to be devastated if ND loses. I'd rather do just about anything Jan 7th OTHER than watch Bama play Florida, second only to Bama not getting to play at all. So sick of them.. jeez. I want to see something new. Not to mention I don't want them getting anywhere near Miami anyway when they were some of the loudest dissenters last year. Basically over night the entire fan base suddenly developed new-found strong convictions (which they'd apparently always had but just never mentioned) on playing in a NCG without winning your conference.. and how WRONG it is.. and bad for college football. wahhhh. And the same people are now waiting for the ND game with bated breath... I hope FSU shuts them up early!

Saturday will be the 84th meeting between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the USC Trojans, and the 21st time that the Fighting Irish will enter the game undefeated, but the first time since 1993.

Which raises the question: How many times has USC ended a Notre Dame unbeaten season?

Six times, with four of those wins coming in Los Angeles, when the game was the finale on Notre Dame's regular-season schedule. Twice the Irish were ranked No. 1, and once No. 2. The last time came in 1980, Dan Devine’s final year as Notre Dame head coach. In 1980, USC was ranked 17th with a roster that included Ronnie Lott and a future Heisman Trophy winner, Marcus Allen.
