🏈 Trash Fire at Texas A&M

Echoing what @TerryP is saying, Chip Brown is a Texas guy so you have to take what he says with a huge grain of salt. He's biased.

The writing is on the wall for Sumlin, his days are limited. If he can solve the running game and improve the defense he has a shot at sticking around.

There is a saying out here, Aggies gonna agg. This whole train wreck that's been happening the last two years with their QB situation is a perfect example.

Check out Kevin Murray after Kyler signed with TAMU (around the 2 minute mark). Tell me what his body language says...seems to me he really wanted Kyler to go play for his buddy up in Austin. I never understood why they paid so much for Sumlin so quickly...TAMU can buy him out quickly, but buying him out won't solve the immediate issue of them being Aggs.

If you want to listen to the Chip Brown interview with Bo as reference in the article. Sounds like there could be a bigger political play at hand between John Sharp (TAMU Chancellor) and Rick Perry (TAMU grad and previous Texas governor).

A few conference wins against a few teams in conference that have .500 seasons or better all the while the instate rival is down.

That spelled a Tubs pay increase at Auburn in the middle of last decade.

How similar are their two career paths?

Appears that the 3rd string QB is not all that bad. Where have we heard/learned that? Jake Hubenak threw for 47 TDs in just 8 games at Blinn in 2014! Averaged 506.5 YPG with 4052 yards! Rushed for 0 TDs.

FWIW, Cam Newton threw for 22 TDs in 12 games for Blinn in 2009. Averaged 236.083 YPG with 2833 yards. Rushed for 16 TDs.

Bottom line: Cam accounted for 38 TDs in 12 games at Blinn. Hubenak accounted for 47 TDs in 8 games at Blinn!
