šŸˆ TOUCHDOWN ALABAMA MAGAZINE: Suggestions for Poor Attendance in Student Section

NO!! I watch the whole game winning it, or, the other thing. I get upset when they cut away to talk about some useless game. To me useless games are any that not a Alabama game.

I see it as a trade off. More is gained than is lost. As Saban reminded the media in the post-game presser, it is critical that the reserves get opportunities to commit mistakes (and learn from them) in a real game without the game itself hanging in the balance. As we know, they are only one play away from being called upon in a competitive game. So effectively, games like this are an investment back into our team. While I too am not a fan of these kinds of opponents, I can nevertheless appreciate their utility, given the current system. I personally would love to see the regular season reduced by 1-2 games, 2 idle weeks inserted into the season, a 4-8 team playoff, and other modifications which would, among other things, eliminate/reduce the utility in scheduling cup-cakes, but that's another can of worms.

I too didn't watch the game. I was content to watch all the scoring plays on ESPN.com later last night. I may watch the replay tonight or tomorrow on CSS, if I've got time.

I would like to see the student section reduced by 25% IF the student section can't fill it up and at least stay until halftime. I would be for a voucher system and also allow the University to sale seats in the student section if students aren't in the stands 30 minutes before kickoff.I am a season ticket holder and I don't care for these cupcake games but it is what it is. I carried my son to the game while my wife and daughter walked around campus and shopped. I tried to sale my pair for a little over face value in search of 4 but was unable to get rid of my 2 beforehand. Plenty of tickets were floating around but you can't blame people for not wanting to watch a scrimmage. I'm a former coach, so it doesn't bother me. I look forward to watching these younger guys and I want them to experience some meaningful snaps.
