šŸˆ Thoughts On Next Year's OL

Any ideas or insight on how that personnel plays out?!

I'm pretty out of the loop here. I do know Neal would be a starting tackle, possibly moving to the left side?

Owens feels like a starting interior OL, could be any of the 3 spots. Seems like we've heard good things about Dalcourt at OC, but Owens was the starting center in a dominating CFP performance.

Ekiyor is coming back, right?

Randolph has never technically held down an OL spot, but he's been a phenomenal blocker at TE for a couple years. Maybe he puts on a few lbs to target the other tackle spot?

Talented dudes like Knight, Quick, Cohen, George, etc. waiting in the wings. Not to mention the Brockermeyer kid from Texas, who could push from day 1.

Thanks for opinions in advance... RTR

Bamagot the #1 ( or #2) rated OL at each position ...center..guard..tackle
So future bright...and half ( or almost) coming back...future brighter..

the real key is..... spring football....losing a ton of players.... need it bad....
I would be surprised if there is no spring ball. They were able to do a full season so why not a spring season. The A-Day game maybe not but the practice time and scrimmages I would expect.

I have wondered about this myself. I know Dalcourt's name has been mentioned. But what about Pierce Quick and Amari Kight? Those guys were 5 and 4 stars in their recruiting cycle. And you have Tommy Brown and Javion Cohen. That's the beauty of it. There is no shortage of talent available to the Tide on the offensive line.

Owens is more of a 6th OL relative to tackle.

He will play center if he can beat out Dalcourt.

Saban has never not started the no.1 OT to my knowledge and he's got two to choose from Latham and Brock.

I think Neal is a prototypical RT, but I guess he may get a look at LT.

Some of you guys may remember David Wasson, former editor for the T-town News. His projection(s) mirror a lot of those here with the exception of Cohen.
  • LT: Evan Neal
  • LG: Tommy Brown
  • C: Chris Owens
  • RG: Emil Ekiyor Jr.
  • RT: Javion Cohen

LT- Neal, Owens, Brockmeyer

LG- Tommy Brown, PQuick, T Ferguson (incoming)

Center - Owens, Dalcourt, Tanner Bowles, ?? Brockermeyer?

RG - Emil Ekiyor, Chris Owens, Seth McLaughlin

RT- Javian Cohen, Damien George, JC Latham

This is what I think the PRACTICAL OL depth chart would be, meaning if one of Ekiyor etc went down for 1-2 weeks Owens would be best and would step in there

My biggest question mark is Amari Kight. He was a really good high school talent 2 years ago.

Did Cohen RS this year? Didn’t hear much about him, so I’m assuming he did.

Surprising to me - only because I haven’t heard his name mentioned much.

Will certainly be interesting to see Latham and Brock once they get a chance to pad up. Would help their cause if there’s a spring camp...I for one, would be disappointed if we didn’t have a spring camp.

A lot of talent to choose from, and then there are the two behemoths that could emerge at either guard position. (George and Roberts) Ferg another wild card. So much talent at OL

LT Latham/Neal
LG Brown/Brock
C Ekiyor
RG Cohen/Brock
RT Neal/Latham
