@sk33tr as a retired teacher, I saw firsthand the changes that school systems took when it came to inclement weather, from tornadoes to snow/ice. With tornadoes, it was the devastating tornado in Enterprise that took the lives of students and teachers. Here in Alabama, we hardly ever have a dry snow so, it melts and then freezes over and roads become such a mess. Buses aren’t made to operate in that mess.

I lived in Dothan for about 10 years. Even married one of those Slocomb women. Enterprise has really grown.

When we'd meander our way up to Eastwood Mall from Chelsea to cruise, I met a girl from Lipscomb one time...not as advertised, doggone it.

Near Moulton, Alabama we’ve got almost 11 inches.

9 degrees and only 3 inches of snow, 2 hour delay in southern Ohio. Finally closed due to our district being 184 square miles, they could not plow all the roads.

Yesterday started out at -1 and very little snow. They closed schools, but I remember when my kids went to school when it snowed 4-8 inches.

Snow all over and we get low temp and rain. That makes my walkway/ramp froze over. Lucky I turn our water off. I guess it will be sometime tomorrow before I turn it back on.

Barely got out of Knoxville late Sunday night. Out near 75 it was getting bad around midnight.

Didn’t hit us on the west side until Sunday night. Ended up over 4 inches. That’s blizzard talk for these parts.
