🏈 The weekend ...AU style

The weekend was amazing...
AU and their fans talking playoff.....#2 ranking.....the best teamin CF.....Malzan talking how they beat the "dog crap" outta UGA.....how the NC game will be a "home".game for them in Atlanta.....getting to o o the Rose Bowl....and then...and then......UGA total destrys them....they play vs UGA exactly how UGA played them in first game.errors, fumbles, penalties ....no Conference championship...no Rose Bowl.....no NC game..but they do get to go to Atlanta in bowl...vs UCF....andMalzan getting a 7 mill/ yr contract.. 7 more yrs of a high school offense... that was ALMOST as classic as Sunday when Bama was selected by committee for CFP.... could an AU fan had any worse weekend?

I agree. I told the other day I was set to begrudgingly pull for the Aub's so it would benefit us until I bumped into a few at the grocery store. Such little brother attitudes drove me to say more than I did but it definitely got me to pulling for the Bulldogs. I laughed the whole time they got their ass stomped and Gus's offense was completely shut down again. The icing on the cake for the little brother in them is that we (big brother) still got in the playoff and they are a 3 loss team again.

Saw on Tweeter someone say it was perfect season for Aubarn and Bama fans. In the end, Aubarn won IB and that's all they really care about and Bama made playoffs with a shot at a championship which is all they really care about.

Notice how we don't feel quite comfortable cussing in a nice, new format. It would be like spilling something on a rug that was just delivered yesterday.

No more predicting for me....i had AU at 6-6 this year...but like urs for 18...
Might have to watch that AnM game...new sheriff in town at College Station

Does Auburn lose most of their defensive line ? linebackers ?

I'm aware that they lose 4 on their offensive line, but have a lot of guys behind them who took a good many snaps this year. If they do well enough with OL reorganization, they should be fine.

I think they retain a lot of their defense, but I could be mistaken.

If they keep 7-8 starters on defense and Kevin Steele stays there, I'm not sure why they should lose all those games highlighted. They are very talented and have returning starters at QB, RB and all their receivers. The Holland guy on the D-Line will be a senior if he stays. They are just as likely to win the west as we are.

Barn loses 3 seniors on defense with the possibility of losing 5 juniors to the draft. Not saying they lose 5 but they could all declare or none declare. Offensively, they will take a HUGE hit, losing 4 of the starting 5 on OL and losing 2 of 5 of the backups at OL. Some have said Stidham may likely be a 2nd-3rd round pick, not bad for a 1 year starter. He is draft eligible along with Johnson and Cox being juniors. Who knows?!!

Yeah after that ass kicking by the Dawgs, all the closet dwellers that came out after our game have re-entered the closet. I hate like hell losing to them but love that Georgia kicked their ass.

And just for the record, I will never pull for the barn to win a game that gives them a championship. It is never good for Bama short term or long term for awbarn to win a championship.

NEVER...NEVER...NEVER...strong words that I concur with...

Gus seems to be on a cycle. Good season every 2-3 years. 2010 as OC they lit it up......of course he left after the mediocre 2011 season and then the wheels fell off for Chiz in 2012.

Gus shows up and has a miracle season in 2013...followed by 3 years of mediocrity. Resurrects his team from the grave s/p LSU and finishes strong this season.

I look for 2 years of 7-8 wins followed by a firing and a hefty buy out.

Things work for Gus...as long as they have a decent QB...
But i would hate to think Bama would reward a HC...for a 10-4 (maybe with loss to CF).....based solely on beating AU...
Of course...Gus did say...this was a turning point in the sec w....but we shall see...
