One bad game cost Tua, that figures. Guess the committee doesnāt value defense, and they value arrogance. Several of the last few winners have been disgustingly arrogant. Might have been some Bama fatigue involved as well.
I think the fact that he wasn't needed to play 4 quarters at all was the biggest thing. It believe they think any QB could have won at Bama this year but Oklahoma would have died without Murray.
Let Murray carry that mantle come the end of December. The Alabama defense doesnāt need motivation but this will definitely stoke their fire. Tua is liable to have a fire stoked himself - not like he wasnāt going to throw up some points on that Oklahoma defense, but thisāll be in his mind. Murray might have won the Heisman tonight, but he may also have won us another title.
