šŸˆ Y'all think it's safe to say, "Ty is going to be in NYC?" The Heisman.

Is just my perception we started the pre-season with quite a bit of talk about the trophy but now...crickets? Arch and Nuss to name two.

I've been casually watching news around this year and I've seen Ty referred to more as QB1 (draft references) in the last few weeks than I have about the trophy.

DeBoer commented on it today. (I appreciate the 'our' building.)

In our building, he's not bringing it up and our coaches are not bringing it up.

There have been several sports figures talking about how he's the Heisman front-runner; and if he's not, he should be.

But I agree, it's all noise throughout the season. Just take it 1 game at a time and don't worry about the things you can't control. Do your job, and the rest will take care of itself. Also, I think he'd rather have the big trophy than a Heisman...just my opinion.

IMO, too early to predict. We just passed the halfway point in the season with the toughest part of the schedule (for all teams) coming up (to include rivalry weekend). Past winners had their Heisman moments in the second half of the season, not the first.

Jackson is a great example of how this isn't always true. He, and they, tanked in the second half of their season. Manzeil's moment wasn't in the second half of the season: it was one game. Last year's winner was largely based on the number of snaps taken throughout the entire season: almost 400 more than any other player. Smitty's Heisman run began against Ole Miss in early October.

If Simpson plays within himself & doesn't force the game, he'll be fine at getting to NY.

But I think Ohio State is going to go all in at getting Sayin the trophy. He's going to stay in every game & throw like mad to subpar competition.
But. Voters are seeing competition levels .... with games on tv.
People can watch competitive games. Not the few force feed by networks...
Even for ND. 3 sec games out drew ND vs USC.
