📡 The Heisman Trophy - 2018: News and notes for the December 8th announcement.

The way to make the bama players, family, coaches and fans feel better is to go bring home the national championship trophy. Go take care of business Tua and the Tide.

Roll Tide!!!

I was hopeful that #13 would get the award. The vote count in favor of Murray was a surprise as far as how many 1st place votes he received over #13. I guess the best approach is to say very little about Big 12 defenses because if that kid and his Wagon team hand 40 on Bama we will just have to eat that on the 29th. We'll see who's vote was actually justified on the 29th.

The Heisman has become a popularity contest... right now Bama isn’t popular due to the “fatigue” of our dynasty. Had this happened 8 years ago against the same competition, Tua would have won going away in a landslide.

In all honesty, the Heisman ain’t what it used to be.

I feel bad for Tua that he didn't win, but I have to say that a big part of me is glad that Murray did. I've got a feeling that will be added motivation for Tua and the whole team to stomp all over Okie. Hope I'm right.

Whether or not Tua won the Heisman has nothing to do with Murray. It's the voters that made Murray the winner, not Murray himself. The disappointment of not winning the Heisman is now clutter. Tua can't let that impact his effort in preparation and play.

You can't say that Murray wasn't deserving of the Heisman. He had a great season. So did Tua. Murray's play was consistent all year. Maybe Tua could have won the award if he played more in the fourth quarter. Maybe, but maybe not. I was happy to see Tua's graciousness after the announcement.

We've had good luck against Heisman Trophy winners. Pat Sullivan, Gino Torretta, Tim Tebow and Johnny Manziel all failed to beat Bama after they won the Heisman.
I read that Coach Saban doesn't! He is 1-4 against Heisman winners. Now in the regular season he is 0-4 losing to Dayne '99, Woodson'97, Big 10, Sram '10 and Johnny Boy '12! But he has beating one in a bowl game and that was White '03 from OU.

I think @Bamabww' s operative word is "after"
