šŸˆ The Coaching Carousel : UT promotes Kelsey Pope to WR coach

Seems like an odd hire, but a bit of a blow to Kirby depending on what he does. Promote Muschamp or Schumann? Maybe try and grab Tosh out of Napier's lap (he wants back in CFB and there will be a bidding war for him)?

Lanning has a lot of potential, but man that's a big job for a young 1st time HC. Dude must have a shit ton of self-confidence.

That one surprises me a little on first thought due to assuming Oregon would cash out the bank to hire a big name. Given UGAs defense success the first 12 games this year, he needs to strike while the iron is hot. And… another head coach from
The CNS tree!

This whole Dan Lanning (UGA DC) to Oregon as head coach really is odd. Not only in how it was broadcast as a done deal then everyone said not so fast, but just in how he would be hired this quickly. Oregon is not much from going back to being the team with the flashy uniforms who goes 6-6 to 8-4 most of the time.

Yeah I don’t really get it. They are behind the 8 ball a little because so many big names have been taken off the board, but still. Not sure how excited I'd be if I was a Duck fan, but maybe it'll work out. He'll definitely put in the work, should recruit really well, and at least has seen how to run a championship program in 2 different spots.

Being reported that Ohio State coach Ryan Day may go to the Bears in a package deal with his agent.

What the heck. Has Saban broken College Football? Seeing people leave dream jobs where successful coaches stayed until retirement is very odd to this old timer.
