Well, yeah, I suppose... He couldn't swoop him away from Bama because Bama did not have a spot for him when he was ready to commit. He was considered a "tweener" at like 5'11... Not big enough at safety and not fast enough at CB. Would have been an absolutely perfect fit at Star... Which is damn near a full time position. Jarrick Williams didn't do a bad job, but Bell could've been special here.

IIRC we went at him really hard for a long time, but towards the end of the process when numbers got tight, decided those bigger DB's had more upside. I could def see why with both Eddie and Anotonio Connor... But then Connor fucked us. I still like the Eddie Jackson signing... He was visibly playing hurt all year, I put his struggles more on the staff for rolling him out there... Plus, Boz may be onto something with him at safety. Could be a better fit

He was the guy who wrote the article during Media Days about Saban making excuses wasn't he? When Saban was talking about when the NFL should wait to release draft information till after a player's college season has concluded. Andy Staples took him to the woodshed on Finebaum. Clearly anti-Saban in his writings if same guy.
