🏈 Stupid people

Oh that's easy..."Bring me some cake I'll see you when you get back!"

haha same here, they tried having our family reunion last few years during the Alabama-Tennessee game and 90% of everybody ended up cramming into the backroom watching the game so they finally decided to say 'screw it' and wait to the off week.

Wife and i got married the day of Bama/ Tenn game. She wanted that day so i picked the time. We moved the wedding up enough so we could watch the game at the recpetion....rented big screen TV....everyone was happy. Guest got to watch the game and get free food and alcohol.

My wife and I also got married on the day of the UT game, in 1979. One of our pictures shows the groomsmen all sitting in the sanctuary, apparently just passing the time. The radio was not in view as we followed the game.

There was a tv in one of the church offices. I got in trouble with my then brand new Mrs. for sneaking away from the reception periodically for an update. We survived all that and will be celebrating 30 years this fall.

haha only in Bama are birthdays, family get togethers/vacations, and even weddings planned around football.

my future baby mama (not really excepting a baby just a saying lmao) already knows IF that day ever comes she better plan it for the summer (May, June, or July).

We ( wifey and I ) warned her dad not to get married during football season... he found out we were serious when we didn't show up... its ok though we told him we'd be there for the next one :)

Plan

I don't know if you know this or not but let me clue you in on a little secret women don't want you to know about. Women do this on purpose to test you. To see where you rank them on the "important" scale.

Have you ever noticed how much stuff women plan in the fall? Weddings, fall festivals, etc., etc.....Its an endless parade on meaningless garbage. :>)

Best thing to do is to put your foot down early and nip things like this in the bud. If you don't, be prepared to get rangled into this stuff the rest of your mariage...:wife: Good luck to you!

Last year during the Iron Bowl my in laws decided to plan a family reunion/get together during the game. There was going to be alot of my wife's family from Hawaii there that I hadn't met. I told them all that Cory here was not going to be showing up because of the game. My wife's granny (who rules the family roost) told me "You WILL be there, the game isn't that important that you miss meeting family." Was she shocked when I didn't show up until after the game and by that time half the family was gone.

Yankee women just don't understand how important football is to us southerners.

Cory

Any male that allows and or attends any said event during football season should check your testicles at the door IMO.

The ONLY possible exception being birth of a child or a death. (those cant be helped)

Weddings BDays and all that other stuff. No way Im going!
