šŸˆ So Where Do These New Players Fit In?

@uagrad93 I get the age/maturity point but I'd be remiss if I didn't point to how Fowler was used in his first year. There is a difference; Jalston enrolled before Summer II and Bo is already in our practice routines.

I'm certainly not a "seniority over talent" kind of guy. However, I'd much rather have a guy that knows who he's supposed to be blocking and looks horrible doing so than a guy that looks great, but hasn't a clue what his assignment is. Heck, they were dealing with that this past season on third downs. IF Henry was in, they were running.

I hope we get the same contribution out of Bo we did out of Jalston his first season—he was solid on special teams play.

he should be ready to do all of the things that Fowler was able to do his first year.

IF I recall correctly, Fowler's time in his frosh year at running back were games the team already had well in hand: SJU, UT, MSU, etc.

I'm in a "Develop Tide, Develop" mode. With the news on Tyren, I can't help but think about that class and a lot questioning "why four running backs?" My opinion at that time was "do you remember 2004 when we were down to our 4th string running back, mid-season?" Now, we aren't dealing with injuries like we were in '04...but:

Tyren ?
Altee
Alvin

Derrick.

I remember that '04 season well. Bodies falling left and right. I understand why Saban likes multiple backs in each class now. You don't want to wear them down but at the same time, you want them to do what they are supposed to do on and off of the field.

Ouch. I hope not.

I know, that's funny, but maybe a freshman might step up like UGA's did. That would be a pleasant surprise. Like Terry alluded to though, it wouldn't be good to have a freshman who was limited severely to only running plays or the like.
