🏈 GAME THREAD SEC / NCAA GAMES OF THE WEEK - 9/8

Tx A&M played a good game. Fought to the end. Looks like Fisher is already changing their culture. Doubt you see the same confidence and intensity away from Kyle Field.

Both Offenses had around 500+ yards. D?

i was kind of...half-way...maybe sorta...pulling for aTm to pull the upset there. i only caught the very end of the game, but i was thinking, "ok a&m, you can do this."

but they didn't protect their qb on the 2-point try (for the tie) and he was running for his life from the snap. but to hold the #2 team like that and give them a scare, not too bad.

So I thought that perhaps LSWho?'s bravado might have been a bit too much after Week 1; however, Notre Lame seems to surpassed them. Three INTs and nowhere near a blowout v. the might David Lettermans.

I'm hearing the hype since Miami, but without sounding too harsh, Burrows still looks like he can only take what the defense is giving. Without the hail mary to end the half he still only produced 119 yards through the air. We shall see.

Total Offense of each SEC team after 2 games:

1. Texas A&M.....630 ypg
2. Ole Miss.........596 ypg
3. Miss. State......578 ypg
4. Missouri..........577 ypg
5. Alabama.........559 ypg
6. Auburn............494 ypg
7. Georgia...........491 ypg
8. S. Carolina......447 ypg
9. Kentucky..........441 ypg
10. Arkansas........435 ypg
11. Vanderbilt.......407 ypg
12. Florida............403 ypg
13. Tennessee......358 ypg

LSU has converted just 7 of 27 on 3rd downs.

You're concerned about saying something harsh about another SEC teams' quarterback who happens to also be a carpetbagger pretending to be Cajun?

Here is what I'm still seeing.

Auburn is about to play LSU.
Ensminger is bringing in a QB that's seen action in a dozen games or so.
He is throwing the ball at about a 50% completion rate.
On average, we're seeing about 150 yards per game, but it's a bit deceiving of a number.
We're looking at one guy that looks like a serviceable running back and he's got a couple behind him.

Sound about right...

...for 2008 Auburn with Kodi Burns, Ben Tate, and Steven Ensminger?

(...and then you start thinking about how Canada Franklin was bringing in a high powered offense at LSU Auburn and how Franklin Canada was fired at Auburn LSU and there was a tight end coach sitting in the wings... )

Merely a magnificent use of phraseology on my part. It's why I put up his stats and where LSU resides among their peers in the SEC. After 2 games they are certainly not exceeding the offensive output of the man they just fired for extreme offensive ineptness.

This Saturday will be another snoozefest on the scoreboard. Without Aranda's brilliant scheming, it wouldn't be a contest.
