I think it's great. Bowls are meaningless.

I hate to say it, but unless it's a playoff.... you're right. Playoff expansion has made the rest of these bowl games completely obsolete in teams eyes.

Most of the bowls in the past meant nothing and nothing has changed. However, it’s another payday for the team and for the conference.

They should make Group of 4 play tge first team out for that final spot. James Madison vs Notre Dame and Tulane vs Vanderbilt. Would have solved everything, because an automatic bid for Hroup of 4 hurts SEC and Big Ten teams that face a gauntlet each week. Can laugh at the Big Ten gauntlet thought, but still better than most.

Agreed, but they would match ND-Vandy, and JMU-Tulane in order to have a G5 in the final 12. Those would have been of some interest this week along with Army-Navy.
