🏈 Schedule Disparity

It seems like the SEC was almost bullied or shamed into going to 9 conference games by the Big 10+8 (a conference that can't even count). They cried about how we only had 8 conference games, but now I'm thinking that the SEC should have stayed with 8. We should have some cupcake nonconference games because our conference is so strong. I looked at mighty Illinois's schedule and they play 2 top 20 teams - Indiana and Ohio State. At present, it looks like we'll play about 9 top 20 teams. How is that fair?

I really feel that 3 locked in rivalry opponents is too much. It should be 2. Auburn and UT are our only two true rivals. AU 2 big rivals are Bama and UGA. Why not lock in two and then put the others on the rotating basis? I'm ok with 9 SEC games. I don't go to the rooty-poot games any more. I typically give those tickets away and I may or may not even watch them. We pay Eastern Illinois before the Barn game. I ain't wasting my time that day. I'm sure there will be deer that need killing or something around the house will need to be worked on.

Funny. I thought we should have 4 perms.
Rotate others.

Some sec schools have a bunch of great rivals ... bama being 1.

Some. .... missouri... Tennessee...vandy... Kentucky... not so much.

But half of sec schedule with rivals seems more exciting

Anyway. Didnt happen. Wont happen. Move on

Saban was a proponent of getting to play everyone in your conference and visiting every one's stadium. With 1 more team rotating in and out, I think it would more likely happen. I'm not sure with the 16 team format and 9 conference games with 3 permanent opponents if will happen.

If they dropped someone like Tennessee as a permanent opponent, how big would those two years be when the home and home fell back on the series? Or, Auburn?

If you told me Alabama didn't have to play Auburn next year? It won't move me a bit. UT, a bit. But, I can deal with that.

IF this were the case and let's also say Bama beats OU in Tuscaloosa this season, imagine how their fan base will be frothing at the mouth for Bama in two years.

Ok.
Play 3 annually

Leaves 13

Play 6 others Rotating home n home.

Leaves 1 out. Yep. Ur right

But close.

Could play 10 conference games 1 p4.... 1 g5

That would cover it
