šŸˆ Saban on Tua status for practice, Tennessee, etc.

According to Boz, Tua got "scoped" for a partially torn meniscus yet says "he could play at Tennessee" despite literally just saying in his first post its a 3-4 week recovery process (which it is). Boz said it, has to be true.

Scopes story seems to be under trial.

No trial.

It's a joke, son. Sorry to monkey around with you.

That's an obscure ass joke man lol

FWIW, just some snipets from Boz past
-Saban to Texas was a "done deal" after the 2013 season
-The program would get hit hard with sanctions after the Mark Ingram/Julio Jones fishing trip
-AJ had a torn ACL after the Missouri game in 2012
-Hugh Freeze to Bama as OC was a done deal
-CJ Mosley's career was over after he was injured in the 2011 BCS Title Game vs LSU

- Add Jake Coker had a stroke-level fever the game he where Cooper started over him a few years ago to that list.
- Jalen would start in the 2016 season opener.
- Jalen would start the 2017 season opener, which he quickly revised to Tua lmao

In the span of a week he has claimed, as fact, Trevon Diggs would return later this season (mere hours later Saban confirmed he was likely done for the year), Tua had his knee scoped and Ben Davis had asked for and received his release from scholarship (also hours later Davis posted video on Instagram of him and other players at Alabama's team hotel).

What good does he think this info provides posting this out on forums? One of these days it will click for him.

He gets off on it. Certain people feed off of insider information and they gobble up everything he says. From what I have been told he's been run off from multiple boards for making false claims, including SECRant that he has now returned to. He got mad at me last year because I called him on a number of his claims (there were several recruits he claimed to be "done deals") and started sending me PMs before he eventually left here, too.

People all over the internet make "insider" claims about virtually everything there is to possible be an insider on and anyone that has been a part of message boards for awhile knows that it's been a big thing since really the start of college football boards. It's fine and rumor will also be a part of it, my probably with him particularly isn't that he is wrong a hell of a lot more than he is right, but it's not that he ever says something he has heard is speculation or just rumor. He ALWAYS states it as fact. Always, knowing damn well it couldn't possibly be a fact.

Man, I thought the thread about Tua on tidefans.com was horrid (and it is), but there are truly some major idiots on the Rant thread. These people will believe anything.

I've honestly never posted on another college football board more than a few times because it seems like the majority of the rest of them are full of absolute morons (or trolls).

The knee makes me nervous. I remember an Oregon QB several years back sprained a knee one week, played the next week with a big brace on and quickly tore the ACL. He was done. He did run a lot more that Tua who did manage to re-injure his on a perfectly normal baseball slide. But then there was Watson at Clemson his freshman year, played with a torn ACL and beat USCe. Ran for 2 TD's and threw for 2 more. I'm cautiously optimistic. He didn't jump up after that slide, so it sure gave us a scare. Another thing is, he was unusually inaccurate on several throws this game. Receivers saved him on a couple and he just plain made some uncharacteristic throws on others. My gut was telling me the knee was affecting his throws. But I may be way off base there, but something was affecting his throws.

Smith worries me, those hammy injuries have been known to really nag athletes. And being a speed guy, the hammy hits him where it hurts. Smith at 75% takes away a lot of his threat potential. And if Ruggs isn't 100% either, that's reducing our horsepower even more. He came back in after that guy rolled up his ankle on the tackle and caught a nice pass from Hurts, but he was hurting again once he landed. Our speed receivers along with Tua's arm have been a pure recipe for disaster for opposing offenses, but these 3 injuries, no matter how mild, cause concern. Scoring 9 the entire 2nd half (2 points from the defense then special teams setting us up nicely for the other 7) didn't help my concern.

I'm worrying a little less about our defense, they played some good ball. 8 sacks, 2 INTs, a fumble. Only 2 bad penalties this game, the horse collar and Davis' stupid personal foul. Limiting that team to 10 points and 212 yards is incredible. I'll admit, I was pissed at their TD pass. I don't remember ever seeing a QB get to stand so long in a pocket and throw a pass. Even back to my 5 Mississippi days. He could have eaten his lunch, had a beer, dropped a deuce, and still had time to loft that pass in the endzone. But D showed up.

Any time it's a knee we should be worried. A sprain can quickly become a tear. Tua was CLEARLY not stepping in to some of his throws in the third quarter, which is why I think he aggravated that injury even before the slide. I know the big brace was irritating for him and thats why he switched the smaller one, but he clearly needs that need to be stabilized. A lot is going to rely on the o-line keeping his pocket clean, so he doesn't HAVE to scramble and it would be massively stupid to call any designed runs for him anytime soon.

I had forgotten all about Coker's fever, LOL. Oh my lord, that one was hysterical :rolf:

This is what I'm think too, Josh. Something about it all just has not felt right since the moment that he went down. From the length of time that he was in the tent, to his overall demeanor on the sidelines afterwards, to Saban saying "there should not be any issues". At the risk of sounding like I'm on a ledge, my mind just keep going back to Brodie Croyle, 2004 vs. Western Carolina. If I recall correctly, he slid as well. Granted, Tua and Brodie are two entirely different athletes, but I can't help but hand wring a little over this one.

"Houston we have a problem"...........Nick isn't going to send the kid out unless Dr Cain feels good about playing any player with a knee injury. I assume #13 was off in his passing due to his injury. Nick doesn't need to give 10RC any help in preparing for The King. Make them work on both 2 and 13 as the QB.

The only thing that bothers me is that his parents were brought down to the tent. Coach could simply be keeping that information close to his vest for scouting and preparation purposes, or he could be telling the absolute truth. I'm not living or dying by this story like a lot, but I will say that we won't score 50 a game without these guys. Hurts played awesome, and it pissed me off clearly seeing the play calling hold him back in the beginning, basically conceding the damn series instead of keeping our foot on their throat. I mean, from TV it looked like they trotted out a guy from the stands and played it conservative due to that, not the fact we trotted out a damn four star guy that led us to two title games already.

It looked like two completely different teams playing in Crimson. #2 threw a couple of great passes but our receivers had to stop and wait for the ball and then run. #13 has spoiled us with his hitting all the receivers in stride thus the long TD's.

The worse mistake by #13 was when he failed to dump the ball off to #22 on the right side of him and then he fumbled. #22 had some room to do some distance.....very unlike #13 to not to have even given the dump off option a look.

Where in the world were all of these passes that the receivers had to "stop and wait for?" I must have missed those... The only two deep balls Jalen got to throw were literally right in the bread basket. In fact, Jeudy's deep ball he had to speed up at the last minute to catch, because the corner grabbed him. The other one, to Ruggs, was in stride.

Well, Boz's year was made today. Even Saban was talking about him:

"I’m not making any accusations because I don’t think it’s anybody here. But we have an outstanding medical staff here. We do MRIs on players. We know exactly what’s wrong with them. Never, ever has our medical staff put a player at any kind of risk relative to playing. I don’t think it’s good for people to make speculation about what injury a player has when we have probably as good a medical staff as anybody in the country when it comes to Dr. Cain, Dr. Andrews and their whole team of people. I don’t think it’s fair to the player or the program or our medical staff for people to speculate on what people’s injuries really are."

The most hilarious thing about all this, after reading the whole SECRant thread, these idiots took this tweet from Tua as proof that Boz was right:

They took his "1-3" line as meaning 1-3 weeks he would be back :rolf: How is it possible you see that and the fact that his jersey number is 13 doesn't even cross your mind?!

Sidenote, Tua was just on the MNF halftime show and they didnt even ask him about his knee lol

For those that are worried... Just a thought here... Just a few weeks ago Aaron Rodgers left a game with a sprained knee and there were tons of rumors flying about him... Hes now playing with a big brace on his knee... he just torched the Niners on national TV for 500 yards and an epic game-winning drive.

Just sayin.
