šŸˆ Saban on Tua status for practice, Tennessee, etc.

I heard Tua was amputated from the knee down. Still plans to play the first half with a robotic leg, though. Darth Maul style.

I heard the same, but it wasn't a robotic leg... Jalen gave him his leg to further prove his loyalty. Don't worry though, Jalen has another in his locker that was 3d printed in Boz's basement.

I've mentioned I don't post much anymore and it is this type of BS that is partially the reason for it. I have posted more in the last 3 weeks on the live game thread than i havery
in years. I must say I have enjoyed it with the guys that seem to watch that thread. There are some knowledgeable folks posting things they notice while the game is going on and that has been both enlightening and fun. I am a student of the game, but the extent of my football career ended 30 some odd years ago when I graduated high school. I did have some awesome coaches there and tend to make attempts at making reads along with our quarterbacks (sometimes, it is near impossible to do because the camera angles don't show you enough).

Anyway, from years past.... I remember this BOZ character.... I also remember him disputing me that Saban was coming to Alabama rather loudly. Our friend Alagator was with me in a very small group that had some unbelievable access to that coaching search, hiring and subsequent egg landing on that guy's face. It was an interesting time, but even being in the position I was in... meaning I was almost 100% sure that the info we were seeing was spot on, I never put it out that I was that sure. I never stated it as fact, but rather made remarks like, "the Saban rumors might have some merit" or "don't rule out the Saban corner". Honestly, when I run across a post made by that guy... I don't bother reading it.

The weird thing about him is that he is obsessed with his "insider info" being right he seems to openly root for it be true, even if its negative, rather than him be wrong. Evidently he guaranteed that Saban was leaving for Texas and said it was a done deal and then got mad when he was wrong. You would think that is something an Alabama fan would be thrilled with being wrong about. Same with Tua. A fan should be THRILLED that info was wrong but instead he lashes out about it and almost seems to be hoping it to actually be true somehow. Just so he can be right.

As far as the game threads, I usually only pop through on Saturday's when I'm home with the wife instead of covering a game or hanging out with family but I will say the last few have been a lot more pleasant now that a certain person has been banned.

@TerryP
Where is Shavers? I know you were predicting that he would have a more impactful season. The wide receivers Bama has are phenomenal so I can see how it is tough to get playing time. Will this be his opportunity to show out with Smith sidelined?

He's just not ready. We saw him some this past weekend against Missouri and when Kief slid into to rotation with him he caught two.

A few weeks ago Saban made mention of a few guys that were struggling and it was leading to impatience and frustration. I don't recall who but do remember three or four guys being pointed out--all of those were wrong. Shavers is frustrated because he's not ready.

Going into this weekend we're looking at a team that's banged up. They need the off week. It's especially so with the receivers and a large part of that is due to how violent the Missouri game was--not to mention Arkansas who always plays tough. I'm thinking instead of Shavers we see Kief slide in to that fourth role this weekend. I like it as well. It's always good to see a fifth year guy contributing in a game like UT.
